All fair assessments in your video! We have addressed the timer function and will have an override on the future models that will disable the timer. Our 100w folding solar panel easily reaches the 100w output and has "legs" that stand the panels up at the optimal angle towards the sun. Thank you for your feedback and video! ❤️
I bought the 300watt version because i need those 5amp 12volt outlets. I make Neon Simulation signs out of led. The led signs require 12v 5amps and will plug in directly to that port. Not sure how many watts it actually conumes but the wall outlet adapetr i use for them is 60watts. So i will be using this to power them up at events were i don't have access to power.
Will make sure you reach out next time you're planning a trip to Oregon / WA and we can do a overnight or something together, I don't ever give out locations but you're 1 of the few I'll gladly share my best campsites with. I'm sure you could do a whole modified episode on my 4Runner while we're out there as there isn't much that I haven't changed at this point
I had the same problem with a generic 330 watt battery where it also has a programed shut-down for the DC output, when I first hooked it up to my portable fridge it worked great, but once the fridge cooled down to set temperature, the damn battery would shutdown after just a few minutes, almost a deal breaker with the battery. The only way I got around the problem is to use the AC adapter for the fridge, and plug the fridge into the AC plug on my battery unit. The AC adapter draws 8 watts/hr when the fridge cycles off (enough power draw to keep it running) , and about 40 watts while the fridge cycles on, I still use this work-around when we camp. I wish I had known this problem before I bought the battery (I think it's a Chafon 330). Anyway, I watched your video because I need to upgrade my capacity for those cloudy days. Thanks for the honest review, the shutdown on the DC output is discouraging.
Based on your review and the price point for these things, and the fact more expensive than Jackery, Bluetti etc. the only way I would get one is if it was free. A 60 watt panel?? Maybe a week to charge?? Lol. Not good at all
They do offer a higher wattage panel but in this market I haven’t seen a portable panel that would be really good option for charging from 0. They are more for maintaining I believe
good points- i hope they disable the timer! I need one to run my very efficient iceco fridge. Hook a brother up! my jackery 300 is not cutting it! I know cold weather has a huge effect on the battery life. Is that home made table still nailed to that tree at that remote campsite?!?
I dunno I like the idea of it being charged via solar but I'll take my gas 2000 watt portable Briggs generator because It's 3 times less price to buy and double the power.
