GLaDOS: * calls Chell fat on multiple occasions * Also GLaDOS: translate the song to English if you don't get it (the song is in Italian), im also pretty sure there re comments with the translated lyrics as well
The sheer fact a track like this exists in a game that takes place in the same universe as HL2 baffles me. Portal is such a Tone shift yet it still feels like it fits in the Half Life universe regardless.
For the longest time I was fairly certain that there is no music ever composed that could even come close to the beauty of Moonstruck Blossom from Kirby Triple Deluxe; but somehow you managed to hit that same caliber. In other words, there's nothing I can say that would adequately describe how beautiful this is
@@thepotatoking2504 They didn't, but sadly you are a young child who doesn't know any better and thinks that fake trailers made by second-hand producers are real trailers.
The drop hit me like a bullet in the face. I didn’t know turrets could be an orchestra. I won’t ask how they play, but I will say that this is beautiful
What is it about this song that makes me cry? Sheesh... I think it's just how many many times she calls Chell her dear, darling, beautiful, baby girl. It's why I think Caroline was Chell's mom. That song can't have NOT brought tears to Chell's eyes. I like to imagine that wonderful stoic mute was just silently weeping behind the camera, where the audience couldn't see, cuz we only saw through her eyes. Maybe a remaster some day could include tear-filled eyes at the end scene. I know that's what I'd do, to make it sorta clear that that's Mom, and she just couldn't look at GladOS the same way after she found out Caroline was inside of that monster, all along. Btw, I don't think she deleted Caroline. I think she said she did, so that Chell wouldn't have any reason to come back, or to have mixed feelings. She just wanted to save her darling beautiful baby girl from the monster she became. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@monkr wont 468 I don't think it was ever stated that Chell's dad was a random Aperture worker. Only that her dad worked at Aperture. So Cave is still a candidate.
Good ending: Valve releases all ______ 3 games in a single package and gives major updates to all its older games as well as its current titles that need it and port everything that needs it to source 2 and starts taking active feedback from all its communities. The future is bright.
This is the most beautiful thing i've ever listened to! 😭😭😭 It just represents our freedom from aperture! Like You have fought long and hard... Take your freedom, chell... You deserve it!
As an Italian who speaks English as his second language I want to provide all of you whit an accurate traduction of the song Cara Mia Addio Name of the song my dear, goodbye Beautiful dear, my beautiful dear My child, oh heaven I respect her (in a really affectionate way) I respect her (in a really affectionate way) Oh my dear, goodbye My dear child Why don't you step away? Yes, away from science, Dear, my dear child? Oh my beauty Oh my dear Oh my dear Oh my child Oh dear, my dear Oh my dear Oh my dear Oh my child Oh dear, my dear If I gonna be honest you could also swap "child" whit "baby" and it might make even more sense, in general the song really sounds like a mother speaking to her child (girl), really a super sweet song considering it was written by Glados
I swear I can hear the turret weep a little bit Wich now makes me think that Glad0s is actually programing them but she's singing it here listen closely 0:40 Edit I'm talking about the big turret the one that's singing
Yesterday i third-fourth time played Portal and Portal 2 together. I will never forget those times when i knew about this game, when i knew that it in one world with Half-life, when i played it first time on xbox 360) thank you, valve, still in 2021, like it was 2014...
this game is the only series where not only does it not need a sequel but i am fully content and complete after finishing it. its really rare to create a an emotional ending with just 3 characters and one doesnt even speak. games like this really come once in a while.
I expected an orchestrated version of of the original. Its exactly what I expected. I also wanted just the instrumental to send to disney and the london theatre orchestra for a remake of the turret opera, as if its done by real humans instead of AIs
I never played portal but when i heard this song, it hit me hard. When i looked at the ending of portal 2, it made sense. Both Glados and Chell had to part ways, even if they know they were both made (in a sense) for each other. And then this song plays, you know they'll never meet (?). :'(
[Verse 1] Cara bella, cara mia bella! Mia bambina, oh ciel! Che la stima! Che la stima! Oh cara mia, addio! [Verse 2] La mia bambina cara, Perché non passi lontana? Sì, lontana da Scienza! Cara, cara mia bambina, Ah, mia bella! [Verse 3] Ah, mia cara! Ah, mia cara! Ah, mia bambina! Oh cara, cara mia! [Instrumental Break] [Repeat Verse 3] Mia cara! Ah, mia cara! Ah, mia bambina!
