Quick clarification: This is a speedrun of a MOD of Portal 2 made by Krzyhau that removes all of the cutscenes and waiting times in the game. This makes the game much shorter to run, as there is no waiting around for the levels to end, or for cutscenes to finish.

The sheer amount of mistakes he made and still got a speedrun... Impressive, and it shows how much improvement can be made. Speedruns will get a LOT faster
Yeah... he's dumb for trying to pretend it's a "social construct". The fact is he'd be far more effective by continuing with a run when behind 10+ seconds and going "Yeah, you can save time later on." then announcing to the world he's a gold fish who gets discouraged by pretty colors on split comparisons. Lol.
Portal2 is so perfect for speedrunners, aesthetically at least. It’s so satisfying to watch you fly through a dozen rooms in 10 seconds. Same with the dialogue. The game literally tells you to slow down lmao. And the programmers knew to skip dialogues when you outrun them, even if you haven’t changed rooms yet. Some of the most brilliant dialogue in game history, the whole game was so ahead of its time. (I know this is a speedrun mod, but that just got rid of cutscenes.)
Can you PLEASE not use the term "world record'? It's very misleading and assumes that the video posted is the fastest time, where in fact someone else could have a faster, unrecorded version. Could you please use the term BKTWVEAAAVBMOFSRC (best known time with video evidence as approved and verified by members of the speed running community) in the future. This would help lower confusion in these types of videos in regard to the ever updating and evolving nature of the speedrunning community.

Holy shit, I just got interested in the speedrun of Portal 2, for a game that is well programmed, it's just simply epic to see mechanisms never seen in normal times,Who we normal players would never have managed to pass the first chapter in record time, well done to you even if it's only a mod
Not really, there is a category extension called no major glitches, but it's not very popular and some glitches are still allowed (like bunnyhopping). Also something to note that since this is speedrun mod, there are a lot less categories for it, pretty much the only way people play speedrun mod is Inbounds No SLA, which is what this is.
Q: Are the speed run paths through the rooms part of the P2's original design (devs put them in the game), or are many of the speed run paths design flaws discovered by gamers after P2's release?

not that you did this, but as i was watching that part, i realized it would be funny to fail a speedrun on Funnel Catch because of Wheatley's insult at the end of the level imagine "AWHH WHAT WAS THAt? THAT WAS NOTHING! THAT WAS N O T H I N G ! ! " adding insult to injury or something

uh this is not anything to do with the run, but I see how you have the gun with a different color. I change the file all the tutorials say to change, but the portal gun on the ground is still default. am i doing something wrong? or is there a different file to change to make it different
The loading screens are made faster with our speedrun plugin (SAR). Essentially, after installing sar by putting the .dll file in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Portal 2\portal2", load the plugin with the command "plugin_load sar", and then type "sar_fast_load_preset full".
