any valve game could be released today and it would be a 10/10, if not for half-life shooter games would be way different, if not for team fortress there wouldn't be class based shooters, if not for counter-strike gun play in video games would be "press m1 to shoot the bastard"
***** In June of 2010. The 6th month. It's been 6 months and 4 years since 2010, when this video was released. And given the digital root of 2+1+6+0+0=9, 9+4=3, it's actually been 3 years and we have _all_ been wrong! Half Life 3 confirmed.
I still remember when this trailer came out. I had finished Portal some time before and I was absolutely hyped for the sequel. Portal 2 might be the only game I ever had hype for and it didn't disappoint me one bit. It's one of the best games I ever played and it's my favorite game. I've finish it 3 times since the release.
Dinosaur Mittens So we have that. Since it doesn't look like we're going anywhere - Well, we *are* going somewhere. Alarmingly fast, actually. - but since we're not busy other than that, here's a couple of facts: he's not just a regular moron. He's the product of the greatest minds of a generation working together with the express purpose of building the *dumbest* moron who ever lived. And *you* just put him in charge of the entire facility.
@@cubedpotatoeshd2479 Who shit in your cereal, If you are gonna be a piece of shit cause someone likes something you don't then go cry on twitter or something. Far more accepted there
@@Luka2000_ yeah, btw, i think my birthday is really near too my birthday would be around Apr 12, which is 1 week before the game was actually reach its 10th anniversary. However for me, its was 11 days left instead, cuz have different timezone. btw apologized for that deleted comment that i thought its would be a spammer who asked for alix disk or spamming X days without content.
You should see the cooperation( if I'm correct )trailer. At the last part she said,"Don't dissapoint me...or I'll make you WISH you could die"😱 I have not played the game but still love it.
Half Life Alyx is a real thing now, looks like ValvE is actually listening to us, or it might just be because they want to show off the Source 2 and Valve Index
If we don't get Portal 3, at least make Portal: Rattman Edit: The main plot would be between Portal and Portal 2, of the Rattman trying to get the portal gun close enough for her to find. His good friend, the companion cube, could possibly be there or not, depending on context. The entire plot wod surround not the player being forced to do testing by the AI controlling the facility... But rather the ravages of nature overgrowing the facility, and him having to find a way around to get the Portal Device to her before she wakes up. Because he knows that if she wakes up, there is almost a definite possibility GLaDOS will wake up as well.
I always thought Rattman would be a logical protagonist for Portal 3. Now that Chell is gone he's the only human in the facility, and he'd moat certainly want to get out of there.
@@kumatorahaltmanndreemurr He most likely was not alive for the events of Portal 2 - even if he _did_ survive the gunshot wound - because that takes place a long time in the future, and every cryo-chamber except for Chell's went offline after GLaDOS was destroyed (meaning that the cryo-bed he fell asleep in would have also been offline). :/ Plus, Valve *loves* being very ambiguous about whether or not he survived the events of Lab Rat. So if it features Doug, it would most likely be a prequel.
still hits me in the feels 10 years later, now THAT'S how you know you've gone and done a good thing. when you're happy you played it, but sad that it's over.
+*SpeedDennis* There doesn't need to be a Portal 3. Not at all. Portal 2 had a very closed and satisfying ending. Another sequel would just feel like Valve is trying to milk money out of the franchise. Chell was let go, and that's the end.
TheIntelloBox every game they made is the closest to perfect it can be at least the main games half life and portal. The half life games is interesting weird and different the portal games are the most perfect game I ever played everything feel right, the script is funny, the characters feel like they have a real personality Glados character to me feel more real then every other character I saw in a video game before I really connected to Whitley as a friend and I felt betrayed when he turned evil and felt bad for him in the end of portal 2 that what make portal and half life so great the character feel more like characters from npcs in other games the world is almost a character
Oot just has nintendo bias like most of their games.

Here I am, 13 years later. I can't believe how much I still feel the H Y P E for this game. One of the best trailers ever made. For one of the best games ever made.
portal 3 cant really exist. this isnt the same as half-life 2: episode three where there hasnt been closured and is absolutely needed to finish the story, portal 2 has closed the story. pure and simple. the story of chell is over.
Just now realizing that the part shown at 0:43 is an overgrown version of chamber 12 from the first game (the chamber that came directly after getting the fully upgraded dual portal device).
5 years... i remember every second of waiting this game, i waited it more that everything in my life, and when it released i have played it for 10 hours all day. this was best day in my life. every time i hear "want you gone", i cry. Valve is fucking geniuses. ITS BEEN A A LONG TIME...
To this date, still one of the best trailers to have been presented to mankind. "It's been a long time. How have you been?" Still gives me chills to this damn day like it was 2007, couple days later Portal release.
Chell's story ended at the end of Portal 2. If Valve decided to bring her back after it was pretty established that she finally got out and gets to enjoy the world, I think that might even be considered lazy writing. If they made another Portal game, it would be a spin-off or something.
I re-watched this trailer so many times as a 13 year old when this video was published. I was so excited for this game after finishing the first one. Re-watching it now, over a decade later.. I get chills down my spine. I miss being excited for games this much..
Happy 10th Birthday Portal 2! It’s been a decade...and yet, I’m sure we can all agree that this beautiful masterpiece is one of the greatest games of all time... Now, go enjoy your cake and -lemonade-!
Every time I play through and hear the “It’s been a looong time. How have you been?” I get chills remembering this trailer. Something about that line feels almost musical.
I was 6 when this trailer dropped. I was too young to beat portal on my own but I loved watching my brother play. This game was the first time I was hyped for a new game. I remember watching this trailer over and over again because of how good it looked. Portal 2 is definitely one of my favourite games of all time.
"Its been a long time, how have you been?" - GLaDOS - 2011 Edit: This day is 19 April 2021 and Portal 2 released 19 April 2011. Its been 10 years, happy 10th anniversary Portal 2!
