My doctor tried unsuccessfully I might add to explain this to me maybe it's because I'm a Mechanic & could see what was being said but after seeing your video I fully understand what is entailed in the TIPS although I'd like to know after the bypass how is the blood filtered?
This is what I have after development of portal vein thrombosis. Great explanation of why I keep getting esophageal varices and bleeding. Thanks for this video. Helps me to explain to my family.

Is caput medusa a sign for only women ? Due to use of umbilical artery to its connection of giving birth ? Male would have only ascites instead right ?

Is it safe to assume that most people making comments are in the medical field? I'm not but suffer from this condition and literally had to listen 5+ times to better grasp the information.

when scarring and fibrosis from cirrhosis obstruct the hepatic portal vein in liver, pressure rises in vein and its tributaries producing portal hypertension.
Beautiful explained, helped me understand a a lot better my problems. If someone can do the foods we should eat like this to help would be fantastic..some people have recommended foods to eat but if you have several other things wrong it can be confusing. Brilliant job thank you.
easily the best video i have seen on the effects of portal HTN and varicosity formation across the distal esophagus, umbilical, and anal region. Please, make more of these videos. This was simple and easy to understand. One pass was enough.
