btw, the inbounds tas doesn't do vault skip which saves over 50 seconds

@@Semyazi i know, but the inbounds tas by jukspa is still the fastest full tas. There are tas segments of vault skip and a faster 16 and 19, as well as a way to use the instant load trigger in 10.

This is the Inbounds category, where glitches abusing saving and loading are fair game. If you are more interested in categories that do not allow those kinds of glitches, the No SLA and Glitchless categories are what you're looking for.

Although it may look like where we shoot the portal on the incinerator is out of bounds, the large box that surrounds Glados's room is still considered to be inbounds space. You'll notice that in older runs of mine, I used to shoot a portal under myself after incinerating all the cores to enter this outside area (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9e08EVfcNU8.html ). This area is completely fine to walk around and would not go against the current ruling for Inbounds runs. I hope I clarified that question for you!

If you mean not doing the reportal, that strat barely saves any time and that's only if your hop spacing is good enough to zoom right into the elevator without hitting the steps. I sometimes prefer consistency over speed, so I do the normal fling here, sacrificing 0.2 seconds (or around that amount) in exchange for getting through the map 99% of the time without screwing up. If you miss the reportal you lose 4 seconds and that's a HUGE deal.
