If a mechanical occurs in side the last 3kms the bike should be impounded and checked to make sure all is above board. If it is allow the rules to apply, if not do not allow the 3km rule to be invoked and fine the team. @@chrispritch It is supposed to ward of dive bombing Magpies, as it looks like spikes sticking up. Myself it does not seem to work, they go for the ears instead.

“Puncture” with 3k to go, that rear tyre looked inflated and not deformed when he was on it with his hand in the air. Tubeless tyre at 40 psi, no problem, very convenient. When was it verified by the race officials, at the time of the bike change or back at the pits ???? Takes a second by the team to deflate it. My tubeless have dozens of punctures but still keep inflated albeit a slight loss of air.
I've been ranting everywhere about the UCI commissaries in la Vuelta, About the extra help Remco is been given, the antics involved ... the 3 km rule stretched, the UCI commissaries looking in the other direction ... backstage politics... why does Remco need this help? ...I don't like the open to interpretation thing UCI do, just opening more doors for a 'cheat' to win antics, is not helping the game, or the current GC ... let's hope the 'Spaniard deal' gets done and they 'cook' or ' blend' Remco... 3 Spaniards, 1 Belgium rider... we need to see the fireworks... we are here to see the fire works whatever happens ... we need those the f*n !! fireworks pop!!! the unholy alliance!!!
