Sensors never see a cyclist, if it's busy a car will trip the sensor, if it quiet you have to jump the light or sit there till you freeze. Pedestrians cross roads were there are no lights, cross when a red man is showing if nothing is around, why the change in standards?
It doesn’t matter what people think , it’s the LAW. Cyclists expect EVERYONE ELSE to obey the Highway Code, with exceptions for themselves. It doesn’t matter how quiet it is. The whole point is that there are some cyclists, just as there are some drivers, who will do what they want, no matter what. Everyone is a potential Jeremy Vine.
There are not pressure pads. It is an inductive loop that detects metal objects that controls traffic lights. Some are not sensitive enough to detect lights motorcycles and cycles. If it becomes clear once you have stopped that this is the case then carefully proceed. The however is not the type of red light running the people object to.
Got to be kidding me. I was just thinking today what happened to that Pritchard dude. I even went to your channel and didn't see any vids posted in ages and here you are!!!
I have a dumb bike with bluetooth speed and cadence sensor attached. Should I pair the sensors with the bluetooth dongle on my Windows PC before I start the game or I have to setup sth in the Mod menu? @Chris Pritchard
It is a no brainer. Why should cyclist be above the law? Actually it is not a pressure pad but a proximity switch which detects the metal work of the car. Anyway back to the question. No way should a cyclist run a red light. If it is good enough for a cyclist then everyone should be able to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perceived speed is based on viewing angle. The wider the lens the faster it appears. GoPro is a very wide angle lens and if you look at Zwift, much more of the screen is taken up by the road, so it’s a much less wide angle, which is why it doesn’t appear so fast at the same speed.
I love the way the presenter had to come up with ever more convoluted scenarios to justify jumping the light until the French guy said yes, to then be delighted he found a justification to do it. So very unbiased, lol. So is your reasoning as long as it’s safe for you, it’s ok to break the law. Does the same apply to cars then? They can jump a red light?
Red , stop but the majority don't ! Training ! Licence ! Insurance ! And a form of identification ! All of this is needed ! Not a pressure pad , radar and magnets , movement is detected your video is misleading
I like driving a car but I prefer cycling I think it’s the motor industry has just brainwashed people into thinking cars are the priority all road infrastructure is built around motorists and cyclists are an afterthought GCN made a good video about it.
When you start with "pressure pads", I immediately worry for the accuracy of the rest of any content. The sensor systems used on temporary traffic lights at roadworks will pick up a cyclist. It is not a "bit of a grey area" at all, if the sensors do not pick up a 44tonne lorry, the same applies, could be sat there all day.
