HI, Buckin' Billy Ray community, I am glad to have found this channel, I like many others on here at 4:30 in the morning, have been laid off from work due to the Covid and was getting depressed. Well, as you know, the positivity made my day. The comments are not a toxic waste disposal facility. They are inviting, welcoming, and just plain friendly. Thank you all Brandon Theisen.
hey friend yeah whatdya think of that ,, i worked tirelessly to accomplish this environment years ago , thx for sayin so it is appreciated ,, most of all welcome
I love watching you split wood, it's almost like a dance! I'm a retired Mason and appreciate a professional doing their craft! That saw was a beast! I bought a Husqvarna in 1991 and still have it. All the other saws were starting to become plastic. I had a Husqvarna motor cycle in 1980 that ran like a scalded dog. I was scary!
Buckin never change who you are now, we have A LOT in common, especially our past history, it's crazy from our younger bad days, to breaking our back, we are who we are and ain't gonna change for anyone, if so only for the better...I could go on and on. Buckin...I'm so grateful to have found you, and ur awl inspiring kindness, love and knowledge....just a great man. All the stuff that has happened and what we've done in our past has carved us into who we are. I had the same situation with sobriety but she didn't come back...but now I'm at 3 years married now with the sweetest little girl who only wants to help others and is going to master in counseling and helping others...I'm so blessed
Bucking, Your videos help me so much. Thank you. I’m a veteran that feels like I never do enough and your videos help to calm me. I love your positivity and love for life. Thanks again.
Buckin I loved the story you told in the truck. Funny how so many off us have lived very similar lives just in slightly different ways. I love hearing your stories of times past. My favorite part of the show! Much love from Washington
Btw I thought I was funny when I could hear the Canadian geese in the background honking while you were splitting. We have those things everywhere too.
Just thinking how Billy's wife's new man reacted when he knew a man owning dozens of razor sharp axes wanted her back..🙂 "Here you go Billy, all yours mate"
One of my favorite videos from you in a while Buckin' thank you. Your silence as you wailed on your rounds for 5 minutes was perfect -no words needed, literally therapy for you and us! I enjoyed every minute of music from your killler 372, amazed at the piles of wood it was pulling out, laughed out loud when you broke into yet more hilarious foreign accents, mimicked "legit woodsmen" and poured your bar oil from two feet ...right in the hole. You make me want to buy a 372... what a freekin' pig that thing is! Awesome! Great, great video!
I have a Concord Maple in my front yard though it's quite young, the leaves are that size as you showed and they are just gorgeous when they change color in fall, but so true they don't compost down for year's at a time, well anyway that saw cut's like butter great job on sharpening my friend..Friend's enjoy your weekend and please stay safe..
I absolutely love this channel! My favorite channel hands down. Thank you for being you brother. You have one of those infectious personalities that I can't help but be happy watching your videos.
I loved your saying there at the end. Very true indeed. Watching some of your videos and listening to you chat I do believe that you are a very powerful person through the expressions of your thoughts and being. Keep up the awesome work and the chats....much love to you brother from the east coast...

Paul weller the woodcutters son is my song ( I'm cutting down the wood for the good of everyone) but you can have it for tonight. Hiya Cynthia & hiya John fisher thy dog lover👍 love to all here folks
Hi Mikey, all good here buddy, got my boy Ben Dog next to me on the sofa - he is a 12 yr old staffy ridgeback cross. Just like you said, 'Man's best friend'! Have a good weekend fella.
Hey Buckin, been a casual viewer for a few weeks now but the scene of you splitting wood pushed me to subscribe. Love the monologues and appreciate the hard word. Thanks for the content.
Idn how I ended up getting so hooked on your vids buckin but you are the man! Hoping to start my own tree business soon and your inspiration is helping me learn a lot
Oh Billy, make sure Doug lets you get your bit into some of our short/stout timber, such as our dead Ash of the Midwest. Especially if’n it’s cut for a boiler. You take a chunk that is 30” long and contains multiple knots ... They will definitely bring your heart rate up! We will occasionally get ahold of straight, clean log, but for firewood, they are the exception! At least in my neck-o-the woods! PS, it was fun watching Buckin’s videos on BBR’s iPhone! Love to The Army of Kindness! Be Blessed!
I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love it when you run that 372!! It sounds awesome :-) Trish says hello! Love to you and your family my friend!! :-)
Just have to mention that I recently found your youtube page. and I get happy every time I watch your movies. You are so amazingly possitv. continue with that.

I like your Orange County choppers stool... their shop is about 30 min from where I live .. stay safe... that sounds like 125 ripping round the track .. love it
Good day buckin and company! Amen brother, ya gotta do what makes ya happy, gets ya pumpin’. I don’t burn wood right now but I love the process of makin fire wood lol so I’m cuttin and splitting every chance I get. Makes you feel like you’ve put some real work in
just found you through August Hunicke, good stuff here! the 372 is throwin chips like a champ, I love using the older saws, only issues are finding parts sometimes... stay safe brother
Thank you Lord that Buckin and Wendy resolved their problems and the rest is history. That brings me great joy! Thank you for healing both of them Lord!
You are right about felling your firewood in the winter. Make sure you get it done before spring(I.e. maple syrup season) if you wait until just before the tree leaf outs the wood will be saturated with water. I’ve see white oak so wet it will rinse the oil of your chain and burn your chain. If the trees is that saturated your better off to wait for it to leaf out and utilize some of the moisture out of the tree.
I'm a new subscriber, love your videos. I can relate to "waking up". I did for different reasons, but I did. I share your enthusiasm with that, keep up the good work friend!
Hey Buckin' Billy, g'day from Australia mate. Did you know ..... Paddy and Mick are at the job centre looking for work. They come across a sign that says "tree fellers wanted". Paddy says to Mick, "Ahhh, what a pity there's only the two of us!" Hahaha lol. Ahh I crack me up.... Hey mate love your work, well done to you.
I have the same saw and was concerned about getting something bigger. After watching helped me decide on staying with the 372xp and going for a climbing saw instead.
Buckin...you even saved out the wind chimes😂😂 good cutting video buddy!! That the 372 with the kraken muffler?? Love to you and the family❤️ hello to all of the true blues and news out there❤️❤️
awesome video buckin. man that 372 she cuts boy talk about pilin' woodchips. awesome story in the beginning about making choices in life. Looks like you made the right choice! ya look really happy brother right on be safe and well.
I'm a Stihl guy and I don't think my 660 & 461 together could cut like that.... Billy you could make a living if you had no legs and just arms we would wheel you out in the shop in a wheelchair and you could sharpening chains all day !!!!!!!! Amazing lv u bro c u in a week .....Welcome he subs your at the place where things are happening > >
A side note: my saws won't cut a quarter of that speed. I went and GOT THE GULLET out. It helped. Thanks to all the true blue, guys, gals, women and children who keep this chanel alive. Bless you.
Another classic video cutting like a champ wow all that sawdust coming out hell ya who needs a chipper when you gotta grind like that Just imagine the rooster tails from that saw 👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧
Top shelf, nice saws, pleasure to spend time with you. Your contribution to society is beyond numbers recorded by you tube, instagram, twitter.... I hope your happy inside, you make me happy inside. Just sayin....
There is no human problem that splitting wood by hand that can confront, put into perspective/context and solve. You, the axe, the wood and stacking. Simplicity.
You probably don't believe this but it's greatly enjoyable watching you split blocks with that double bit, it's so easy for you. How many thousands of cords have you spit overs the years. just wonderful, thanks.
Thanks for the inspiration! Fighting the fight to drop the bad and live in the new myself! Misery is a pawned port job trying to get your fix! Stay you and stay true! Why no chaps?
Buckin' Billy Ray Smith it is brother I know you’re busy and I thank you for your response.. I love your part of the world and I know how hard it is living and providing for your family. Keep going brother, when I’m tired and sore from laying stone, I always check on you. Keep safe mate!! Will send you some pictures of the work I produce.. Regards George
Great ending to a Saturday night..took my cohabitant with me for dinner and a music show in town, met some friends and had a really nice evening...sure makes the shoulders drop being able to do that once in a while... Man o man that 372 is a whopper..talk about putting a searing hot knife thru butter..she cuts eh?? Have to get something done with the good old 262, it's nice as it is, but a little bit more grunt would be welcome. I wish each and everyone of you a great weekend, keep warm, be kind and take care of each other :)
Strong man with axe. Wow nice. Thank for sharing your video. Like it. But kind of dangerous. But trust on you. You professional on man still. You should be teacher. Like the young generation. Now days nobody wants to work as you. Have great day and days.
When i was cutting wood for my wood stove, 30 days was plenty enough time for oak to get dry enough to burn. If it was cold enough and I was out of wood I usually didn't wait that long. I would cut it, block it, split it and stack it. I did not use an axe to split wood. I used a maul, which has about a 4# head on it. I always kept an axe nearby, as well as several steel wedges and a 12 pound sledgehammer. I south Georgia, where I lived at the time, we had a lot of bubblegum wood that was more often split with a chainsaw than a maul or axe. I like white and red oak, because they split so easily, compared to some other wood. Water oak is the worst to split the first time, but after that it is easy.
Funny commentary at the end, channeling a little Jim Carrey or something "We're in one heck of a dog's breakfast" never heard the term before, I'm stealing that one.
Pound for pound i love my 372 the most, ive use many of saws in my life tho im not a pro power verses weight i cant find one i like better, i have 3 differant bars and i also use on my alasking rig also, love it!
