A little bench talk and some video of me giving my ported 365 special a workout. Saw is a 48mm top end, meteor piston, no base gasket, intake and lower transfer work only.. 7 pin rim sprocket, 24" full comp chain .
👍..I worked these conditions before as well, free timber is great, after the mulicking , and hauling home, and handling 3 or 4 times before splitting....only made worse by rain and muck...but your spot on a days work is the only test, great vid..
What we're your timing numbers on this? I'm just stripping down a jonsered 2165 with a trashed piston and cylinder. At the moment I'm thinking of just doing transfer work and removing the base gasket.
I believe that saw cuts faster than my 266 big bore. Yet another ripper! At about 10:20 did she lean out on ya a bit? I don't mean that to be critical, just want to keep training the ear.
I went and rewatched. Sounds fine to me. I'm not cutting full speed there the whole time. That wood is dirty so im cutting slowly through the bark then full throttle once im into the wood. Thanks for commenting
