Too much compression and reverb, result is that the drums are completely lost in the mix and don't find their way in the frequencies. Otherwise, it sounds pretty accurate and somewhat similar to the original, good job. Look up for some mastering tutorial and you'll be way better :)
I know lol. I didn't know what I was doing. I'm still learning how to properly mix and use compression. Thanks though :) Just curious though, do you think I got better at mastering in my recent stuff? would be cool to get some feedback from somebody that understands mastering. If you are gonna judge, I recommend you listen in soundcloud. My 2 most recent remakes have soundcloud links in the description. the quality is a lot better for whatever reason.
@@castin5244 Just wanted to say, your mixing/mastering has gotten so much better since this. As someone who wants to get better at it myself, your progress is inspiring!
I am just gonna say the same. I was having a ton of fun appreciating your works. Just keep going on making these amazing works and hope you also enjoy making them. :>
In the original song the sidechain is a lot more noticeable. But to me honest this is actually better than the actual song cause it feels like some fill ins actually feels like its in there and I love it, it fills my ear up.
Well thank you :) I personally think I could have done better. I've gotten a lot better in the past year since I made this. Maybe I'll give it another try. idk.
Dude! great work its very very close to the original, would it be possible for you to put up the project file download? Im sure many people would appreciate it
Pure excellence... All I can say. Will you by any chance be able to put up the preset for the saw chords you used? It'd be ace to use in some of my projects :)
This is really amazing! This is the kind of stuff I want to be able to do one day! You can go famous with this! Keep on making great music and one day you'll get known! I promise you
Flanger :p Pretty sure I just automated the mix (wet/dry) knob to go back and forth. Can't tell you for sure because the project file is long gone sadly.
Oh I know man, I totally agree. I did sidechain but I didn't really know what I was doing back then. This was made only a few months after I started producing.
@@castin5244This is insanely well made for just a few months of producing honestly, most people would take many months longer than that to get their production skills to this level! I noticed your last upload was 2 years ago, do you still produce?
You'll get there if you just keep practicing. Once you learn how your DAW works and all the little tricks to sound design, mixing and mastering it becomes much more easy to get those ideas in your head down and actually write music. It's the reason I do these remakes really. So I can know all the features in FL studio and have a better understanding of how music is produced before I start getting serious about making my own music.
Looks like you have the same goal as me,say do you have a discord or any social media i can follow because i learn best from peeps not reading And what the heck is DAW
