this album literally saved my life last year. great reaction thank u for listening with the attention i think it deserves !!! excited for your SMILE! :D reaction, it’s a great album
I’ve been a massive Porter fan since his dance music days in 2012. Worlds and Nurture are two of my favorite albums of all time. I still can’t hear Nurture without tearing up. That album came out a month before I graduated high school and it helped me get through so much.
Yei:DDD Uno de mis albumes favoritos y uno de los artistas que significan mucho para mí, muchas gracias por esta Review y que tmb escuches sus otros trabajos como Worlds y Virtual Self:3
Your reaction to Blossom and getting hit by that truck was literally me the first time I listened too lmfao, great reaction as always! Would love to hear you listen to Blue Rev by Alvvays or Beyond the Fleeting Gales by Crying, both different flavors of shoegaze-infused indie pop, think you'd get a lot from either of those.
OMG FUCK YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! PORTER THE GOAT if you want another summer album with just as many varied emotions, you HAVE to listen to Third Eye Blind’s self-titled album. Ik I’ve requested this like a hundred times but it truly is something special in the alt-rock world
my main recommendation remains Ghosts of the Great Highway by Sun Kil Moon. however, you can react when summer is over since it isnt necessarily a summer album
hi recs: The Breeders - Pod (Unique early 90s alt rock, Steve Albini prod, was in Kurt Cobain's top 3 albums of all time) Slint - Tweez (Sick late 80s post-hardcore/math rock, also Steve Albini prod) Pinback - Pinback (Very chill and creative late 90s indie rock) Modest Mouse - This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About (Amazing album, very nearly as good as The Lonesome Crowded West) Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles (Insanely badass aura filled production and vocals, extremely unique) Weezer - Pinkerton (Some of the nicest sounding guitar/drums/everything you'll hear in 90s alt rock, with crazy honest lyrics, ended up inspiring some emo bands) The Prodigy - The Fat Of The Land (badass big-beat dance music) Guided By Voices - Bee Thousand (lovely 90's lo-fi) Hella - Hold Your Horse Is (Math Rock with the drummer from Death Grips, before he was in Death Grips) Pavement - Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain (Absolutely perfect 90's indie rock album)
i found this album through you and welp,,, looks like im gonna losten to a LOT of porter Robinson now, his music makes me feel emotions that i forgot existed. also quick reccomendations: you should listen to faith in persona or darklife by deaths dynamic shroud if you havent already
Actually, Porter just released a new album a few days ago! Called "SMILE! :D" Definitely different from Nurture, but every time he does release albums it is definitely different from the previous album era (Worlds to nurture is pretty different, and Virtual Self is a whole different beast for example XD)
Alright Smags, listen up buddy, summers getting close to being over and you really need to hear these albums. They are all perfect summer songs and I’ve been practically begging for some forever. Here they are: When We Were Friends: The Backseat Lovers (vital listen) Citrona- Flipturn ( you cannot go wrong with any flipturn sing and they produce some of the most magical stuff nowadays along with the backseat lovers) Attic Sessions- Arcy Drive ( this is a generational put on and it’s a phenomenal album) Dr. Dog- Dr. Dog ( surprisingly has a great late summer vibe with so many chill tunes)
YOOO THANK YOU SM LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MY GUY a few recommendations: Process - Sampha (experimental r&b, great production) Koi No Yokan - Deftones (very heavy, sexier and heavier radiohead imo) Hypochondriac - Brakence (very experimental emo rap, glitch pop) Reading Writing And Arithmetic - The Sundays (the smiths ish, with beautiful female vocals)
Hope someday you will listen WORLDS from Porter Robinson. At that time it was a special album for him. Before that album he made more like a typical "radio" edm type of music, but in WORLDS he finds his own style with ambient anime vibes, acoustic instrumental and glitchy effects that appears on his next records including Nurture
For more summer electronic music I recommend "weight of the world" by Syzy. Absolutely bonkers brostep/riddim album, completely changed my perception of the genre, you won't be dissapointed!
we need the reaction of Anitta's Funk Generation we need the reaction of Anitta's Funk Generation we need the reaction of Anitta's Funk Generation we need the reaction of Anitta's Funk Generation
Love that you liked this one. Really recommend the other records "Worlds" and "Smile!:D" either one is fine. But personally, im interested to see react to "Worlds"
Yooo you should get into the chillwave subgenre rabbit hole. Maybe check out Small Black?? Super underrated band with that early 2010s chillwave sound. "Limits of Desire" is a great record. Or " Cheap Dreams"
Wow, This album sounds cool!!! Albums I recommend are, Ram by Paul McCartney Pop Food and Hilo by Jack Stauber!! Three of my favorite albums, Three More Indie Rock/Pop Albums!!
love ur vids duuuudeee.... hope ur gonna listen 2 smile, cant wait 4 when u do !!! : > id also say worlds is fs worth the listen, and his other virtual self project. nurture is fs one of my fave albums of all time though. never heard anything more full of LIFE!!!
Celldweller -Wish Upon A Blackstar (the one that ends with Against The Tide and Departure) Okay, preparing to get buried in the comments, so i wont waste to much time on it. This is a concept album, and like nothing you, or probably anyone else here have heard. Its one of my top 10 all time albums (like Nurture)
