For me the results were as follows; Pecco- I'm not surprised Maverick-good but can he keep it going Bezz-not really much of a surprise, this guy has serious talent. Brad-considering his neck injury, yes I'm surprised.. Jack-new team, new bike. Did very well. Let's see what happens in the next races. Fabio - Yamaha will lose him if the bike don't perform.

Not enough of a penalty for Marquez. I realize the guy has fans, but enough is enough.

You've gotta love the inconsistency from race direction. Alex Marquez made the same mistake when he took out Miller in Australia last year, but he only got one long lap penalty. Marc gets 2 long laps because... people are angry i guess. And Marini didn't get a penalty at all while it was quite similar to Quartararo's move on Aleix in Assen. There are so many examples which show that there is just no consistensy whatsoever. You could refer to Nakagami not getting a penalty for the incident in Catalunya last year.

Pecco was great as was Maverick on the Aprilia. I'm not impressed with MM93. This guy has won 6 MotoGP championships, and in an effort to show that he's still the best, takes out the home town hero who was leading the race. I hope they make MM93 start the next race from the back of the grid or pit lane. Long lap penalty is not enough IMO.

Big mistake from Marquez, that’s twice this weekend a Honda rider took someone out but MO88 has no broken bones and declared fit thankfully. Pecco was a class act today though, managed the lead like a boss. Some great racing going on in the top ten too but I have to agree with Mac about Alex Marquez he looked very good although I did have him for a podium in the sprint and he let me down lol The two KTMs surprised me tbh because I thought Miller would have fell back in the later laps but he held on even if Brad got him, I’m sure that’s worrying him a little bit considering where Brad came from and has a sore neck

MM93 always been agressive this time for me his time is over it's a new generation there should be no excuses. Take him out of the competition cause that could have killed Oliveira. That was bullshit. I had enough of Marquez getting away with pushing riders out of the track. Out of the competition all together... Murderer did you guys saw the stupidity of the crash? OMG

Well deserved double long lap penalty for marc! I'm so glad oliveira is alright. However he did not try to overtake at all. when in a group they usually brake a little early apart from the 1st rider. Marc left it too late and the tyre locked up just like how it did in the first lap too and he couldn't stop the bike. It's exactly like how AM73 crashed into miller in philip island. Shame!

The battle for 4th was the show, Zarco being the brightest star. Nice to see Brad and Jack able to actually race the resurgent KTM. Feel awful for Enea. Sad to witness 3 main players for the front knocked out by Marc. While that's racing, did gasp at how reckless Marc was by ignoring the many early warnings his tyres/brakes were not up to temperature. In the past his full tilt moves have been better calculated, a major talent. Since he clearly isn't playing with a full deck it may be fallout from his many concussions. Mir is trying to hard, merely adding to the Honda demolition derby that great racers go to fade away. Rins must be mortified. Good work Fabio!
@C--A
@C--A Год назад
Can't blame the concussions from seasons ago, as Marc has deliberately recklessly barged past lots of riders in Moto3, Moto2, Motogp! Might be the greatest Motogp talent ever but pinball riders out of the way doesn't make you the greatest rider ever! Sadly racing direction over the years and currently are letting Marc away with it. And he will continue to do it, even if he switch's manufacturer!

@lookatolder
@lookatolder Год назад
Hei Mac I understand your comment about peco leading but it was 24 laps to go... It could have been Marquez crashing on peco and Miguel would win. Marquez style is not for this generation. No wonder Lorenzo' s father, chicho hates the guts of Marquez... And his irrational riding. We are not talking about mir crashing on miller, but someone that won everything and this paddock doesn't need anymore...

Better racing already through the entire field. If MV can continue to start well and be in the front group, he is a contender. MM.... I like him, but he is too aggressive. Would never normally say this about a racer, but he does this every year. He and JMartin collided in the braking zone, but still..there has to be clear definition between rubbing is racing and just riding like you do not care if any one gets taken out.

Marquez has to learn. ban him from the next race - honda goes - he doesn't and not while he's recovering - otherwise, what's the point - he'll just keep doing it - he's been at it for years and Miguel Olivera is a lucky boy if he just has the mother of all bruising - what if he'd broken his pelvis? what, then it's serious?, let's see what the boss of Honda does - NOT PUIG - it was a racing incident caused by a lack of care and throwing experience out the window because of desperation. Otherwise race was as expected - Ducatis are gonna rule, Aprilias and KTM's are gonna fight it out at various tracks and may win a few. Honda and Yamaha are nowhere lost and Quatararo is just gonna ride around and take the money soon as what's the point of fighting for 25 laps to get to 9th? Knowing you have no chance. feel sorry for the guy as i think he's been fed a lot of BUllshit about what's coming - and it ain't - morbidelli already knows. Rins and Mir are now the guys for Honda - after all, when the boss of HONDA sees wonder boy get pole by being towed along and then watches a podium thru the mistakes iif others and then watches a complete bin it or win it move who is he gonna put his faith in eventually? - and listen to when they are talking - rins is slowly but surely analyzing every single thing to change it so he can ride the bike they have to its best - Mir is waiting for the factory to figure it out while he struggles alongside wonderbread - he can ride it fine - but its obviously slow and when you push for the last 1% which you need - it is simply dangerous as you are gonna hit the ground - back or front - chose one! - Miller and Binder are gonna be awesome and they are smiling about whats to come - i think its those two vs martin for sprint races - martin was very pissed off about not being able to beat bagnia - who i have to say was class the whole weekend - whatever people threw at him he just passed them and dissapeared - proper world champion stuff

Marc Marquez is contracted to Honda until the end of the 2024 season. As is Fabio Quartararo with Yamaha until the end of the 2024 season. Both are stuck with current uncompetitive bikes for the foreseeable future. While KTM or Ducati can snap up wonder kid Acosta for next season on their satellite bike. Quartararo had the chance during last season to sign for another manufacturer but he didn't choose to. Now will have to wait until 2025 if a good switch is available.

You’re talking about all the empty seats today, not a great look for MotoGP to be sure and I found it surprising considering MO88 is Portuguese, I don’t know how much tickets were but obviously too much by look of things today. @@sleepwalker8600 I don't know what the tv/streaming viewership figures were worldwide. That would be interesting to find out in each territory country. Bags looking strong and confident, good runs from guys I like to see go well like oliviera, Vinales, Miller, Bezza, and Alex Marquez! kudos to Zarco... sick as a dog and managed 4th. Of course all we will hear is Marquez's mistake, and all the Marquez haters out of the woodwork, "he should be banned!" ahhh shaddup ya wankers, this is racing and shit happens. Aint a rider in the field aint done something similar. But given that all the other Hondas were NOWHERE (did Nakagami even start?) it shows how hard Marquez is pushing the bike to perform and always on the edge like that will cause incidents. 40 races still to come, thats a LOT so too early for predictions but if Peco can continue in that way, he's looking to be the man to beat. Commiserations to Pol Espagaro and Enea bastiannini both out injured in the furst round - not the way they'd wanted to start a season. Hope they heal up fast.

Marc Marquez is one of the best Motogp riders ever, probably the most raw pace ever. But all through his career Moto3, Moto2, Motogp Marc has been deliberately unsafely barging past riders knocking them down! It's not as if Marc has only done it a couple of times, he has done it tons of times and keeps doing it! Stoner was another rider with exceptional raw pace, but he didn't t-bone riders out of his way like Marc! Race direction are a joke. Marc should have definitely got a 1 race ban because of his past record. Then if he does it again a 2 race ban etc. That's the only way to stop him doing it again in the future! 🚫

Saw it. Marc crashed and I stopped watching. Whoever is the factory ducati in front is going to win 100%. No satellite will ever challenge the factory for "top 1" spot because that is how this business works. Lol. They may go 2 or 3 but not 1st at the end of the season. If you see another manufacturer in front at lap 1 or 2 that's a show but if it's ducati first or second and it is lap 1 and 2? That's a gg. Every bike that I have seen nowadays is having a hard time overtaking unless... the rider in front makes a mistake. For these past few races that's how it has been. GG.
