Portraits in Rhythm Book Series Part 1-Solo 1 and Introduction 

Here is part one of a series dedicated to recording the entire Portraits in Rhythm book by Anthony Cirone. This landmark orchestral snare drum book was written in the 1960's and continues to be very relevant today. The solos are for the intermediate to advanced student and are terrific for teaching musicality, phasing, dynamics and rhythmic proficiency.
In this his first video I play solo #1 and introduce the book.

The metronome I am using is a Yamaha Click Station. The headphones are Bose and the mikes are AKD 414.
