Just wanted to give a shout out to a kind lady Portsmouth fan. After the game, an elderly friend of mine (Luton fan) said he went to a pub to ask them for a number to call a taxi to get to his hotel. A lady in the bar arranged one for him. When it arrived he asked her how much he owed her, she said 'No, it's all paid for you'. Proper fans, proper football again. 🧡💙
Interesting that after the sending off, our wing backs became full backs and we looked really solid. 442 for me, I admit I am old school having supported the Town for 60 years.
If we go to a back four we need another RB, nevermind centre half. Walters looks great there but with Hashi out for potentially months who else have we got that can play there?
We should definitely keep Joe Taylor and let him try to break into the side. RE made a comment about rotating players this season so seems like people will get a chance. He offers us something different up front that could be very useful against certain teams or situations.
@liampw20 I can't speak for all, but I think most fans will miss the money and profile of the Premier league but little else. The Championship is a more entertaining league. They did attempt survival, but when you have a small squad built on a shoe string budget and a long list of injuries for a third of the season, it's going to be hard. The prospect of being a yo-yo club between the Championship and the Premier League, under sound financial management, is preferable than getting in a billionaire owner or an opaque consortium that might keep you in PL until they lose interest, then put your club at risk. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
