8:00 That should never have been a free kick for Portugal as the real handball was Éder's. If you watch the replay at 0.25 speed, you'll notice the ball hit Éder's hand. The referee thought the ball hit Laurent Koscielny's, making a crucial mistake. That given freekick would lead to Hugo Lloris injuring his right side. Éder himself will score the goal on Lloris' injured right side. That was very cruel !
You might not know, but both Portugal’s and France’s captains got injured during this final. The free kick taken by Raphaël Guerreiro which happened 1 min before the goal saw Hugo Lloris injure himself when he jumped and dived (his right arm). That explains why his dive was late when Éder scored.

Portugal was all out for the cup. And as much as they struggled initially you cant not give them credit. Having said that they wont win it anytime soon
