My dad bought one of these brand new in 1997. He drove the wheels off of it. 162 miles a day for years. I have fond memories with it. He sold it specifically because the roof kept leaking. It made like 94hp I think the owner of this car genuinely likes this car and the host is straight roasting the shit out of it 😂😂

Also born in 2000 and I’ve owned 2 del sols. The Honda del sol is a beautifully made car and is a great first car/first manual car to start with. Handles great. Enough speed to zoom through traffic and a nice targo top that just makes the experience so much better. Will get another when I get back from the military and will ev swap it.

Im born in 2006 and recently bought a 1993 Del Sol. Abselutely love it!

I gotta say, that 19 years old kid driving a 5 speed manual along with using his knee to drive, he’s a rare one. Kids nowadays will be losing their minds wonder how to use 3 petals with 2 legs.

The SOHC D16Z6 is an excellent Honda engine. I own and drive this exact same year 95 del sol 5sp...mine is white with just over 200k. Fantastic daily driver. I'll drive it until the wheels fall off.

second sexiest car that honda ever made. first place being the nsx of course. third being the s2000. I loved mine. i miss it. absolutely thrashed mine on the backroads. I had the 93 si which meant d16z6 sohc vtec. slow as hell. but the car handles like a freaking go-kart. All i put on it was lowering springs.... and it handled like a dream. all my friends would pull away from me in the straights but i always caught up in the corners. legit a part of me wants to cry, but im a man so no tears here.... but in my soul, i truly miss my 93 del sol.

How many miles 305k.....STARTS RIGHT UP...........it's not a mushy as I thought it would be....so far it's a running car with 305k that feels NOT mushy....last I checked POS cars.......like a ferio would only make it 70k before it breaks down!!! Now that's a pos.....Honda does not even make a pos....

I noticed you had Kentucky plates. There are now at least two 95s in Kentucky now. I also own one. Also in red. However mine is much different. Mine is heavily modified. It’s set for track. Love it man.

I don't know Ken ? If I could call this one a P.O.S it sounds great yeah need shocks, tires and rims and a good Paint job. I painted my last two trucks. But it's expensive to have a company a car these days, so I don't blame the kid on that. But you forgot to tell us the Price. Thanks again for sharing this P.O.S

I had a POS car but I got rid of it in early 2020. A 2004 (automatic) Toyota Matrix all wheel drive. The rear suspension cross member had rusted out and was close to failing. It had only 130K and was 16 years old. When I bought it in 2016 it only had 95K on it. I replaced it with a 2012 (Toyota) Scion XB. I got it for 3.3K and I LOVED that it had a 5 speed manual in it. It's also got a "bigger" 2.4 liter engine. 1.8 - 2 liter was what my previous Toyotas had had. I bought my first brand new car - a Toyota Corolla station wagon - in 1980. It was a 5 speed manual. Then a 1989 Toyota Cargo Van (also new) with a 5 speed manual. Next up was a used 1996 Toyota Rav4 all wheel drive with 5 speed manual plus a center lock differential. The van and the Rav both lasted till after they hit 20 years old.

Surely there's another car you can find to do a new review!

Aw, ... quite a nice little car. Makes me miss my 90s Miata (yea, a girl's car...) which was in a similat state but so much fun to drive.

Del sol much more roomy inside compared to a Miata NA( as I own both) I like the del sol better I’m in MO just picked up one myself. Yes top does leak!

That’s really not a bad car considering how many miles are on it. Let’s see if it’ll get another 300k on it. Heard of some cars lasting up over a million miles. Plus a millennial in a manual! Unheard of until today. Speaking of POS’s seen one car on the side of the highway today with its four ways on. A silver Mazda RX sumptin-o-nuther. 😄😄😄😄 Maybe the same issue as what you had Ken? Seriously seen it, but just jokin with ya, I know you love your RX but really did see one on the side of the highway.

I had a right one just like that back in 1994 sip tech twin cam brand new and one of my friends saw me at a gas station and he said oh that's a girl's car and I said well I'm a girl then and I drove away with a big smile on my face cuz I know I was driving a Honda. 28 years later I still have it and I'm still driving it I just got a paint job with Honda of course the same color red and people stare at me and they look at me and they smile they know very well when I'm driving I won't give it up that's my baby bye-bye.

Good review but alot of misinfo :( 93-97 is the years they ran. The 93-94 roof l3aked bad, but for the 95 to 97 years they swapped out the seals fixing the leaks as well!

On ne peut pas vraiment comparer la miata et la crx III. La miata est un roadster à l'ancienne "original" alors que le delsol est une civic eg avec une autre carrosserie. Ce sont deux voitures complètement différentes. Le gros regret c'est que honda n'ait pas fait l'effort de mettre le moteur à l'arrière..

The del sol isnt a girl car...most of my co workers are female and they all drive and prefer SUV's because they fall for the placebos of them being safer.

And there’s no reliable OR sporty, the b16 is both😘 wish you interviewed me for mine I would’ve taught you something about this car 🙄 and the 97 picture you showed was completely wrong that’s a 92-95 front.
