I get super bothered by small things, like how the boxes being labeled would bother you. Usually I don’t know what will bother me until I have it all together, so it’s common for me to be switching things up like you’ve done with your inventory a few times. This video made me feel normal. Thank you for going into such detail 💘

I ran a crossed this video and was thrilled! I’ve been a reseller for about a year and a half and have been trying to figure out how to store my inventory. All the other resellers seem to have complicated systems. I’m 68 and semi retired and don’t want to make things complicated. I can easily adjust your system easily. And I love the basket idea for some of my household items. Thanks!!! Gail

Hi Gail! I'm 47 and I just started in June! I feel so much older than most resellers and the learning curve is no joke! I can't even do a spreadsheet 😆 I'm trying to start an inventory system too (100 listings piled in my guest bedroom and going off of memory for 4 platforms is a disaster!). What did you eventually decide on and is there anything you wish you had changed?

I love this system! It took me three years to get here and I'm not at 100% yet but getting there. I'm using "free" paper boxes from school right now. They are all the same size which helps. I'm only at 500 items but hope to grow to 1000 this season and see how I fair by school's end. I love teaching but love resell and being at home too! Color Resale I am so curious about how you keep track of your inventory and your sales. I’d love to simplify my system. I think it would help me enjoy reselling more. Your baskets are so beautiful, I am happy you kept them. In the process of re-doing my inventory system. I do the same thing as far as what goes in what bin. Mix of clothing can all be in one box ( not tops with tops, etc) and smaller drawers for accessories, gloves, wraps, etc. I really like your shelving units.I have a mix and match but it works :). I also really love the esthetic of the brown boxes without the letter or numbers on the front.

I appreciate this video more than you know! I was about to start the spreadsheet using my titles, and I already see that won't work, because I change up my titles a lot too! I have a lot of hard goods: (mixers, air purifiers, gaming headsets etc). So I'm having a very hard time finding a system that isn't just clothes! Since I can't really bag these huge weird shaped items, does anyone have a suggestion? Thank you for sharing your process! 💗

You may be getting to this in another video (hope so!), but I’m curious as to the steamer you use. It’s time for me to invest in a nice one. Funny you should ask! I dont at the moment but I have been considering it. I am reusing the bags and taking off the stickers when I do that. I have been rethinking that decision.

Great solution! I have to see if your boxes will fit in my shelves. I just couldn't figure out how you know which numbers you use for the things that get inventoried next. so you sell e.g.10 items with completely different numbers out of different boxes. These boxes are getting more and more empty but you are using new chronological numbers for your new listings...aren't you filling up the boxes were you have space left in them? Aren't some boxes cramped and other, where you have sold many items from, are almost empty?

Thank you for the amazing comment. I forgot to explain that part. Once every two weeks I solidify the boxes down - so I start with the first three boxes and try to condense it into one or two and then move into the next three. It allows me to check what I still have visually and make space for new inventory. What type of content would you like to see next?

That's how you do it! :) I love to watch "routine" videos - so what's your inventory routine e.g. what are the steps from bringing your items home until they are in your inventory system. How do you list? How do you ship? clean the itmes and stain removing tips and tricks. I constantly try to improve my steps and make my routine more streamlined. watching others what works for them really helps! Also, in case you crosspost to other platforms... now would be a good time to share that process because I guess a lot of sellers will now branch out to multiple platforms. Stay healthy!
