But you know what? It’s not because they are trans, but because they are homoseggsual. They carefully select the type of trans people they use for the studies. They would NEVER use an autogynephilic male who’s transitioned in these studies. And they would never use a “gay trans man” either. Something happens during gestation, around 8-12 weeks, that causes the brains of babies that will grow up to be homoseggsual to either masculinize(females) or feminize(males). They could do the same studies on gay people and get the same results.

I have worked as a therapist for over 15 years with many people including trauma affected, and mental health illnesses and have gained a lot of insight into mental health illness development over the years. The fact that volunteers who go into schools have to have DBS checks does not mean they are all paedophiles, but some might be. The fact that some sexual offenders claim to be trans does not mean that all trans people are sexual offenders, but some might be. Single sex spaces and child protection laws exist for a reason. And trans people (and particularly children who think they might be trans) need safeguarding too. It's time for politicians to rethink the GRA and focus on how to safeguard each affected group not just licence predators to exploit loopholes. Both of my female children require access to their sex-based rights as outlined by the UN's Convention on the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This means they both (including the trans one) deserve to have the safety and protections provided to females, the right to compete against other members of their sex class, and the security of knowing they would be jailed only with members of their sex class. However, I was horrified by the misogyny and ignorance of James Max, and I am frightened for my own female children. And finally to add on to what Kellie said about the "choose to be gay" angle, I do believe it's true in the sense of bisexuality. Bisexuals have the choice to enter a heterosexual or homosexual relationship, thus they have the choice to go one way or the other for partner selection. As a gay man myself, I do believe one is born gay, never once was attracted to the opposite sex and I've heard similar stories from other gay men as well so I'm more than likely sure that Sheila Jeffreys was referring to bisexuality with the later statement. My son is doing A levels . One of his classes, history, has 20 students, 16 are non binary. 30 yrs ago I did my A levels. Out of the 75 students I studied with, 2 were lesbians and 1was a gay man. It felt to me that everyone was an individual, with niche tasted in music etc. For instance 2 guys played bongos, one of them actually stopped, sold them, wanted to be individual, got into electric drums in fact. My son, who is very normal, a throwback really, finds all this gender stuff to be a narcissistic timewaste. He describes it as like when a toddler has a tantrum at their own party snd everyone tolerates it rather than leaving and making a scene. Sad.
