This could be a great place to fish for fall catfish on the Ohio river, these fish become fired up as the water gets colder in November and dropping baits suspended directly over them can lead to the hottest bite of the year if you're in the right place. every year i come to this dam on the Ohio river and use the same suspend fishing technique and it is one of three extremely hot bites you can find during the year this one being the hot fall bite, the other 2 being the spring bite and the post spawn bite and these are times of year you want to fish hard and can be memorable days of fishing on the water.
Also be very careful fishing below the dams due to ever changing water conditions from lock masters controlling the water it can be dangerous for fisherman so pay attention to the sirens and get out of the way of strong water conditions.
