I’m frustrated too, but Vidit is there for himself, just like all the players, and this was his best chance to make a comeback. A draw against the leader doesn’t do much for him.

@@MrMoeqt Mate in 1 is almost never missed at the top level even with seconds on the clock. And that +3 evaluation was based on one single move, and to play that required deep calculation which vidit's time pressure simply didn't allow. That's why he's not totally losing at all. Everyone is a top-level tactician with a powerful engine, that's what makes playing cheaters online so infuriating, but a number(based on a metric that many players and coaches dislike) doesn't always mean a winning position.

bruh 95 accuracy and 90 accuracy isn't bad ... yea mistakes happened in crucial spots but like it happens in every chess game unless you play like an engine

Didn’t know playing with 95 percent accuracy was playing like shit, both players had around 10 minutes on the clock when Ian blundered, and the blunders weren’t easy to calculate at all. I don’t consider a lot of positions deep dark forests, but this position cant even be considered a forest, it’s a thick thicket of complexity.

Losing positions as per the engine dont always mean a human with just 10 min on clock would be able to convert it, nepo also had 10 min so considering that, they played really well and hard lick for vidit, I can't decide where was the move after which the passed c pawn actually became a very big threat And let me tell you, from the middle game, black had 3 passed pawns, one of them had to be a threat.

Gukesh can still beat Abasov and get into the tournament, same goes to Naka. This is far from over but, nepo is playing white against prag, who is also not having a great tournament, if nepo wins the round 12, it will be officially over.
