With all these $10k + vocal chains it’s so important to give the biggest shoutout to the engineers behind that desk or computer 🥳🥳🎉. Loving this series Archie. Great work 👏👏🫡
Yes! I totally agree. Engineers and producers are so underrated and not acknowledged for pretty much making the sound. Thanks for your thoughts and I appreciate you for supporting the new series 🙏🏾
@@archiebeatz most engineers don't really want to be in the media's too much, like Serban Ghenea is not giving any sort of interview or content on social media but he's still the busiest mixer of this generation ✌️
While at that level every single detail counts, the most important instrument is voice. Artists like SIA, Lady Gaga, Rihanna etc could record on iphone and still have a hit
Dont be naïve, the industry is rigged, bribery, corruption even to the gov level with streaming money. Take the advise by approaching someone to invest like a nfl player etc is your best bet to buy some time up there on one of the rigged platforms, spotify, google, facebook, ig etc etc, making one of your own will never work because they will collude to take it down, it’s a rigged system
This is what I've been saying, technology has gotten so good to where its more convenient and you're not sacrificing too much if you know what to use / how to use it. In terms of shadow hills, the A class version is WAY better than the B. It's also interesting that he goes through the apollo pre, and adds the pre amps after without unison.
I couldn't agree with this comment more. When I was tech/engineer at clear channel radio, you would be surprised at how dwindled and compressed down (tremendous data loss) music was. Yes, class A is king without a doubt. Thank you so much for leaving a thoughtful comment.
I spend hours and some cases days to research and validate the information. It's out there but it requires a little work to get some of the information.
Money. He got paid to do an interview for Universal Audio. You really believe someone puts a 10.000+ euro microphone into a home studio UA interface? Plain silly.@@jamesr141
Dope series of videos man! Keep ‘em coming! I love the simple setup a lot of these producers use. Check out illangelo, the weekends producer, he goes straight in the apollo as well
Thank bro! I will bro. Yes, simple in many cases is better. Even in the mixing process. Word? I have to check them out man. Thank you for the support bro.
Hi bro! greetings from Brazil! Very nice your chanel first of all. You have a new subscriber! So, talking about the subject, very nice all that set but, in the end, will be applied tons of eq, compression and auto tune. So I have my doubts if in the final process we can hear the benefits of all that expensive equipments.
Hi Josias! Thank you so much. Yes, at the end of the vocal mix there is tons of eq, compression and auto added. With that being said if would be impossible for me to go through the different possibilities that they applied on each different song and vocal track. It will vary the amount processing and effects they add on each song. I would love to get my hands on one of his sessions so I can show it and explain to you all. The basic setup and chain is a guide with high quality. Everyone voice will be different in the processing stages. I hope this makes sense. Thank yo so much for your comment brother.
On a c800 that quality still shine through that's why it's 10 grand. Most pop songs are over effected these days. If you know what your doing you can mantain high quality regardless
Post never used his own gear when recording most of his early epic stuff, it was Nicky Kalliongis from Arista Records with a mac, pro tools hardware, logic, avalon, neuman tlm mic, etc…post got uad years later
I highly doubt that he inserts the C800G directly into an UA Apollo Twin. Remember, that was a commercial (o sorry, interview) for UA. Besides that, those two make a weird combo. The microphone choice is one of a perfectionist. The pre / converter is that of a home recording studio?
Great video....check out prism sound gear...I switched from a X6 to a Lyra, and it sounds very clean..Check out J.R.Clark single "Open Season" we used a Manley Ref C - BAE 1073, 1176LN, to prism sound Lyra and had it mastered at The Mastering Palace by Dave Kutch
What about the WA-47jr is that a good mic I currently have it and would love a good itb vocal chain i don’t have an Apollo tho currently running ssl interface
Do you still have the Adam S3H Monitors? was wondering because notice it wasn't set up in your studio. was thinking about getting them but haven't got a chance to hear in person yet.
I guess the gear heads are gonna go crazy!! I can hear them now. How is this possible😂😂😂. The perception that you need pricey gear to make it hit has been proven wrong over n over again. A lot of intangibles make a song a hit. Thanks for the great info Archie.
Hahahahaha, yeah it's going to get crazy. Expensive gear can sound amazing when you know how to use it but I so agree! You don't need expensive gear to create great music or hits. So many of our favorites songs where creating on an m-box and apogee duet, lol. Thanks for supporting bro.
i wish you would have set them up in your daw and tested them out, showed some settings and how to use each plugin. That would have completed this video! Just some constructive criticism.
