Post-operative Crutch Walking: Non-weight Bearing 

These videos are really helpful. My husband is on crutches and fell down the stairs so I went straight to youtube (after we called the doctor of course :)) to see what we could do to make him more stable on the crutches. I would also like to see how to sit down and get up properly (we know now) but it still may be helpful to others. Great job!!!!

Lol they didn’t tell me any of this, I did the butt scoot up backwards thing on my own because, I couldn’t think of any other way.. turns out that’s recommended too xD

This is not accurate. What are you supposed to do when you're alone and you get to the top of the stairs with one crutch? lol you need to ascend using both crutches.

What about going down with a family members help is it the same way

it's so hard to go up stairs when you can't bend thru a knee. My first 2 times to go to the second floor was such a nightmare. Later i become stronger and was not so bad. But i can't to do like she did, i have rise affected leg over a step, i can't hop when leg is down

Hi, Dr .I am from pakistan, i have very big and strong knee problme ,Becouse i have opratted in 2007 beacouse of knee TUEMAR , so they take out my knee know my leg is full strat for all time ,so i want to knee brace to live stics beacuose i am uesing it from a long time plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz DR .

Had a bracelet put 3 days ago as fractured my tibia bone .. I walk now with the crutches but we have some kinda hight steps at some areas at home. should I try the method or just wait till a can step on my leg? The steps we have are even higher than those on the video and i am a bit frightening if i can jump higher as with the jump i feel i put some pressure on the injured leg.?

Sadly my 14 staries up to are bedroom and bathroom don't have a railing to hold on to nothing to hold on to lol if have to craw up and sit on my butt on the way down if I end up getting a knee.brace lol even using cruches in my house will be hard if I'm told to do so when I broke my pinky toe and top of foot I'd craw around or jump on one foot every where lol sadly think I have a minor tear in my knee up and down staries are very very painful to even bend is very sharp pain I have tired doing what they call the duck squat walk horrible pain and stood like a duck and bend horrible pain and brought my knee in horrible pain to.even move my right light aka knee when in bed is very painful
