Welcome to a post completion review of one of my recently finished diamond paintings, "Pumpkitten Spice" from Enabler's Outpost, licensed from artist Purple Kitten Studios. This kit featured some recent changes and upgrades, including resin drills and beautiful hand-charting. I adored working on this project for #DrillsandChills2024 so much, and can't wait to share my thoughts with you today!

Hi Katie, Love the completion. And love the Washi tape. My Canadian Grandma corrected me on small Pumpkins, she said they were called Goards. Wild Pumpkins grow in my backyard. 😊😊😊😊😊

Thank you for posting kits from other sellers. I have gotten so frustrated with DAC! They announce a new arrival and 3 days, or (The Same DAY!) Are SOLD OUT! How is anyone on a budget, purchase one!?! I love how DAC has thick canvases and uses DMC color numbering system. I really do not want to have to store several different proprietary drills and numbering systems. Yes, Thank You!

I know what you mean. I get a bit frustrated with their mid-month deals, for example, as I get paid at the end of the month so I often miss out. It has worked out for me recently though. I was waiting months for one particular kit to be restocked and, by the time it came back, they'd made the changes that included the new drills and tool kit, so it was worth the wait on that occasion. Plus, it came just in time for my birthday 😊✨️

I'm glad to hear they've made some changes. I bought StormBlessed from them in early July (square drills) and some of the drills are a hot mess - stuck together (some as if they're glued), speckling and tabs that I spend a lot of time cutting off with my cuticle trimmers (they work fantastic BTW). I will be sending them an email to let them know. It also seems as if there was little to no hand charting, but I'm looking ahead on my sections and making changes as needed. On the flip side, I like their dust/glitter drills better than other major companies' versions. Based on what you're saying, I may try another kit if I find one that I can't resist. Susan

Ooo...you mention drill static! I have that with many when transferring them into trays. How do you remedy this? Thank you again!

I know you didn't ask me, but a tip that works for me is to sort of gently 'huh' into my storage containers, pour the drills in, and add a small rolled up ball or two of kitchen foil to keep the static away. I sometimes put one ball in before adding the drills and also one on top. I don't use dryer sheets for my laundry, and I'm not going to buy some just for diamond painting, but I always have foil 😊👍🏽
