Dispatchers need to learn to tell people that you are not doing anything illegal and stop wasting police resources.

It’s misleading when Iimpct always says “other auditors instigate…” etc…. I’ve seen lots of audit videos from lots of different auditors and I have yet to see one who actually “instigates” anything. Cop-watchers “instigate” by being within earshot of cops - cops almost always think they’re too close (see CFW in Fort Worth). Other auditors go into public buildings to do actual business like retrieving records, and any interaction with government that doesn’t involve “go online” is “instigating” government workers. He gives other auditors a bad rep by saying over and over that anyone else with a camera is a potential threat.

Here's my proposal: When someone calls the cops for real crimes, send real cops with guns. When someone calls the police for photography, recording, send auxiliary cops with a social worker, who would assess the mental health of the caller to determine if they need further help, maybe recommend a good psychologist or therapist, and free classes on the US Constitution. That way, real cops can deal with real crimes.

I wonder if police are ever going to get fed up with people calling and making false reports to 911 and misuse of 911 and start charging them for it?!! Some of the cops are cool but a lot of them are looking for any reason they could arrest the people with cameras, but yet it's like pulling teeth to get them to arrest someone for assaulting you while you're filming! That's infuriating! I will never understand why so many officers have such disdain for 1st Amendment auditors. I mean, I know that it mostly started with people filming the police for the purpose of accountability and they hate accountability so they probably take offense to being recorded, but if they're not doing anything wrong or violating anyone's rights then it shouldn't be a problem! But these officers in this video were all great! No tyrants this time! The lady at 7:05 didn't say a word to you but yet you literally followed her out of the building and made sure to engage her. I only say this because at 0:45 you stress the point that you are not here to talk to someone unless they talk to you first. Thanks for not making the vids too long. What I recognize in these vids is how intolerant many people really are. It's a good social experiment and displays a variety of fascinating results. The folks most upset about what you do also seem to be the one with the least control of their anger and inner voice. It would be a good litmus test for some jobs and emotional health reports. If I had to predict criminal acts, the upset group would dominate. This supports the age old claim by police themselves that if you're not doing anything wrong, you shouldn't mind being observed in public. Of course, when you do it, it's a crime, lol.

When people ask what you’re doing you should just tell them the truth. Tell them you are educating the ignorant masses at home by recording how ignorant people are in the streets to our rights. The dumber they act the more educational it is for the people at home and entertaining. It’s about education and the constitution and documenting peoples ignorance to it.
