The worst play calling I’ve seen in a long time. Pass for INT on 3rd and 2? Time of possession wasn’t bad, but run the ball on 3rd and 2. Two plays to get 2 yards. Control the clock and give your defense a break.

Play calling was horrible. OL isn’t bad but not elite. Run plays with less blockers than Texas had in the box. Pass calls at the wrong time. No ball and clock control. Defense was put in a bad position all game.

It is time to panic! We've had more than enough time to prepare for the season and this is the product we produce! We are in trouble,Davis Warren made very poor decisions throwing into traffic, the receivers were no shows,and even Colston had an unforced era! We got burned by two different plays 3 times,one play targeted their TE and the other was the RB out of the backfield. We are terrible! What's worse is this is not the best roster we are going to face! The other state,Oregon,and the trojans are licking their chops! If texas put up 30 osu is going to put a 50 burger on us! I don't mind losing but to be blown out at home! Unacceptable!

No his refusal to put resources in recruiting is evident. Coach Moore is playing catch up. Why the hell did we only have one QB coming in? Coach Moore already has 2 top 150 qbs. OuR NIL program was one of the worst. Now it's top 10. All of this done in less than a year. Means we were drastically behind the other big programs

I think it should be obvious at this point....and I thought Warren would take care of the football...that neither Warren nor Orji are the answer at QB. Regardless of how they look in practice, I would give Denegal and Jadyn Davis some meaningful reps against Ark St and see how they do.

What I would do as head coach: 1. Blitz less often on defense; take your foot off the peddle more often on 1st & 2nd down. 2. Run the ball more. Mullings should run the ball 15-20 times a game and Edwards should run the ball 10-15 times a game. 3. Pass more often on 1st down; high % completions, and use the pass to set up the run on short distance situations. Helps control the clock. 4. Play more 3-4 zone schemes on defense, especially on 2nd/3rd and 5+. 5. Play more 2 TE sets. The WR’s aren’t good enough to rely on, but Marlin Klein should be used more with Loveland.

It was mostly play calling the last two games. OC not counting the box. Run plays with less blockers than Defense have in the box. Pass calls at wrong times. OC kept digging our grave. Instead of Offense OL rotation with heavy sets and 2 TE to establish the Run, we let the opponent beat down our defense. Missed tackles due to freshness and limited breaks. Need more rotation. Play calling needs to be focused on developing OL, DL, and run game. Control that time of possession and keep the game close. 3rd/4th Quarter comes, the big plays open up.

From what I saw, both sides of the ball severely lacked the fundamentals... defense didn't wrap up to tackle & the offense looked like they were playing flag football...there wasn't anything even resembling "smash mouth" football...these kids probably thought their natty was going to make Texas roll over... WRONG, everyone is coming to rip you apart & you'd better gird your loins & take it seriously or you'll be the butt of every rival teams jokes...

Look my thoughts BOTH Kirk Campbell and Wink Martindale need to go There’s a stark difference from McDonald and Minter to Martindale And the only way to improve this offense by any marginal standers is to give Joe Sloan the bank and hope he brings Underwood and Derrick Meadows along We also need 25 guys minimum from the protal in the offseason

We knew that the offense was going to be a work in progress before the season. They will get there. However, the defense is a concern for me. ESPECIALLY number 20. Out of position repeatedly, missing tackles regularly and getting picked on throughout the game. Both sides of the ball have a lot of work to do in the next 13 days.

I don’t think the yards per carry really tells the story of this game. The offensive line was a bit better today than they were in the Fresno State game, but not anywhere near good enough. They struggled to get first downs with the run game early allowing Texas to possess the ball and keep the Michigan defense on the field. I can’t recall any explosive plays in the run game today, and those Orji run packages were awful. Bottom line is when we lined up on 3rd down and short yardage to gain, and Texas knew we were gonna run the ball, they imposed their will. Those are first downs that team 144 would have converted. Michigan’s entire offensive philosophy starts with winning in the trenches and everything else builds from there. I’m hoping these guys can figure it out as the year goes on because if we don’t win in the trenches, we are dead in the water.

When I saw Barham get juked out of his shoes by Ewers I knew the game was over. I turned it off and enjoyed the rest of my day. This coaching staff is trash and I fully expect us to lose most our recruiting class when we only win four games this year.

It is ridiculous to think of the caliber program that Michigan is, and they couldn't get in A decent quarterback out of the transfer portal. The play calling tells you that they don't have any confidence in the passing game, there is no downfield passes. This looks like 2021 Iowa Hawkeyes

This is exactly why I wanted to get Dante Moore. I believe that people inside of Michigan believe Jj would still be here and could mentor Jadyn but it is always better to get a qb the year the the NFL talent qb could go to the nfl. Dante should’ve been under Jj. Look at him now under Dillion Gabriel so he would definitely be behind Jj. Davis warren is not ready for the big boy football. Alex isn’t a good passer. Tuttle it’s a reason why hasn’t started any where else just the whole qb situation was managed terribly.

our o-line cannot get consistent push, our o-coordinator cannot call plays to save his life. he could learn a thing or two from the texas coach. our offense was trash. our defense was tired from giving up all those third downs. #10 and #20 got embarrassed. moore needs to start calling plays. orji cannot throw at all? maybe davis needs to see time.

I admit their competition so far is very weak, but up and down their roster, on both offense and defense is loaded with extraordinary talent. They weren't ranked #2 preseason for nothing. I don't see one single team in the BIG 10 thus year that has a solid chance at beating them I do hope I am wrong though.

And we didn’t try to flip McCord. The talent assessment and development - don’t warrant QB Coach or OC promotion. 3rd and 13. No big plays on D - and horrible errors on O. But I put it 100% on not trying to flip McCord. No confidence in run game or Mullings on 3rd and short.

I had this as a loss before the season. BUT I wasn’t expecting this bad. Might wanna fire up Jayden, get Orji in there for a game. What’s he gonna do throw two picks???? Jeez. We turned the ball over 3 times. Maybe against an inferior team, you can pull it out. Texas was the better team, we'll be back. After all, we have only lost 3 games in 3 years. Defense was on the field too long. They were also out of position too many times. We really missed Mike Sainristil, our swiss army knife. One game at a time. Go Blue!

I don’t think we should be talking about firing Sherrone at this moment. He deserves a season or 2 to establish himself as a HC. But, he damn sure needs to take over offensive play calling. And he needs to bench both Orji and Warren. They are not Division 1 QB material. Jadyn Davis can get valuable experience the rest of this year. And he couldn’t be less accurate of a passer than Warren or Orji if he tried!

Wink Martindale became the Michigan DC as he was the Raven’s DC 10 years ago and since then has done the retread circuit in the NFL, ultimately fired by possibly the worst team in NFL history last season (the Giants) Jon Harbaugh recommended Wink to Sherrone as a (good old boy) favor, and could care less if he is actually a good hire or not now that Jim is no longer the coach. Since Jim hired the last two DC’s based on Jon’s recommendation (when Jon actually cared), Sherrone hired Wink based on the recommendation. It is already painfully obvious Wink has to go. He makes Don Brown look sharp

Thanks for the video! I would like to see Mullings and Hall establish our run game, and then bring in Edwards after that here and there. I actually liked what I saw from Warren later in the game. He's got potential. And if they keep using Orji, he has to throw the ball sometimes. Otherwise they need to stick with Warren. Jyaire Hill and Makari Paige had a very bad day. We brought in several transfers at CB and Safety. Maybe someone else could do better. And I'm not sold on Martindale. He knows the scheme, but he has a different philosophy than Minter and MacDonald. I would like to see the defense stick with the "bend, don't break" philosophy that Minter used the last 2 years.

I don't think the sky is falling but the concerns are deepening. Sharone needs to re-establish this teams identity as a smashmouth, smart football team. We lost our way in that regard today. O Line play was (luckily) much improved, but this team wont win much - especially before November - if they get crushed in TOP and turn the ball over like they did today. No defense can cope with that, especially not against Sark and a super talented offense. Playcalling was also abysmal on offense and sometimes unlucky on defense (a few first half D calls were spot on but pressured the wrong side with no evidence of audibles). Warren is not the main issue, but they should give Tuttle and/or Orji a look and DEFINITELY start Mullings over Edwards. I love Don, but hes just not getting it done as a feature back. Mullings will. Still lots of time to right the ship, but it starts with improved physicality and smarter coaching over the next two weeks. FYI Jaydn Davis and his family have said many times they want a redshirt. Dont expect him this year. I trust its the right choice.

Ed Wariner recruited and built the offensive lines. Moore is a DEI hire like Josh Gattis. Moore kept the lines going, but we are starting to see his recruits now. They are Not the same quality as Wariners guys.

Starts and ends with the coaching. Essentially every position group with question marks has turned in a substandard score. They went all in on Tuttle instead of flipping Will Rogers or Dequan Finn and he’s not even healthy enough to suit up. Development has been so poor.

I have been saying that the play calling was bad after the first game against Fresno State. It went from bad to worse. Why didn't Michigan pick up a QB in the transfer portal? I feel bad for Warren. It is not his fault that he is in this position. I am sure he is happy to play but it is a double edge sword.

There are so many other offensive philosophies to tailor to your best athletes but Sherrone decides to stick to last crop's philosophies. We'll never know what a multi pronged rushing attack with Orji would have looked like. He's handed to keys of the kingdom to Davis Warren. So I will wait until this coach runs his course and burns through his welcome. Never been a fan of promoting assistants to head positions. His f-bomb in his post Penn St interview last year was cringe-worthy. There was an urgency to win now but this guy is making decisions based on ghosts of the past as if he has 5 years guaranteed to rebuild. Michigan needs to run power spread with Orji but we are seeing a very stubbornly simple rushing attack within a stubbornly simple pro style philosophy and wasting a great defensive roster in the process.

It's so weird that everyone is hating on warren. he looks GREAT and is by far the best part of our offense other than mullings and loveland. Also eduards isn't a dissapointment. The only thing disapointing is that he is getting so much play time. We all knew he was going to suck, he does suck, and he isn't even the rb2 in my mind.

Alex Orgi needs to take over now. Alex needs 2/3 games to truly develope imo. He needs to bloom. Tossing him in on 3rd and 3 is useless. He needs to learn how to control a game and make plays….. Davis Warren is obviously not it. Defensive depth is a concern.

Warren has potential. Also, Mullings and Hall need to be the main running backs establishing the run. And Martindale might need to see if anyone can do better than Jyaire Hill and Makari Paige. Those two got destroyed today. And maybe the defense needs to go back to the "bend but don't break" philosophy of Minter and MacDonald. I know Martindale knows this scheme Michigan has been running, but he's got a different philosophy of how to attack the offense, and that might be causing some of the issues.

Texas lost 2 fewer players to the NFL Draft, and they lost 2 RBs just a few weeks before the season started. Texas had a bigger and faster players. Most of their touchdowns had Michigan defenders no where near their receivers or RBs. Moore & M players said mistakes made them lose but they misdiagnosing the bigger issue. We don’t have what we need in OL & QB in our current roster.

I'm going to be real consistent here. Warde should NOT be the AD. All he has done is chase the good coaches away. Sherrone should NEVER have been given the keys to the program. At this point, you put Jadyn Davis in at QB, Mullings is your RB1 and Edwards gets split out wide. Wherever Davis is at his development cannot be any worse than Orji and Warren.

Did Jaydn Davis family really come out and say they want him to redshirt? I know they get up to 4 games they can play right, maybe they didn't want to blow some of his PT on this game. It's crazy cause we see a lot of freshman QBs making contributions to their team across the country. Not landing a quality qb in the '22 or '23 class is looking bad.

I hate to say it, but it looks as if this coaching staff is a small fraction of the Harbaugh coaching staff! Look for the critics to pile on the DEI criticism for the hiring of Moore! I hope Moore can bounce back and get some quality wins, but if not, that contract may not come!
