The tucks pads are amazing for after delivery at my hospital all the nurses that took care of me recommended lining the pas with them to help with swelling down there. I didn’t get hemorrhoids either at all with both of my pregnancies but those pads are so soothing on sore swollen parts after delivery. I hope you have a smooth delivery and quick healing after delivery.

Heads up, the tucks pads aren’t just to shrink hemorrhoids, it helps everything shrink and tuck up 😂 it’s nice and cool too

don't send the Mom Washer back! the one they give you at the hospital doesn't have an angled spout so you literally have to almost stick your arm in the toilet to aim it. the Mom Washer is angled, so easier to use! Tuck's pads are a lifesaver! you should also look into the Always Discreet underwear. they're SO MUCH COMFIER than huge pads! they're super absorbent too! you're basically wearing a diaper, but trust me, so much more comfortable than a huge pad between your legs!

My baby is 14 months old. You sound like your very well prepared however you need to prepare yourself for a c-section bc it’s normally down quickly if something goes wrong. I had two vaginal deliveries and my baby was an emergency c-section bc he was transverse and I was feverish. Best advice if this happens is to get up and walk as soon as they allow you too. But we are going to pray for a smooth delivery with no complications.

Just had my baby in July, literally everything you showed, I had. And used! I didn’t get hemorrhoids, but you will get them AFTER you push her out. But honestly the witch hazel just helps the burning or itching you have while healing. You are so correct, the recovery was definitely the “worst” part for me! Definitely worse than labor/delivery for me.. As a first time mom I was completely shocked at how “hard” it was! Good luck! Can’t wait to meet baby girl! ❤️

The belly shrinker is a must! Your belly skin doesn't stay saggy after birth, it's your uterus that stays enlarged/swollen after birth and that's why the belly shrinker is necessary to help shrink it. I use it as soon as I give birth and only take it off to shower.

Well I know in African countries because some dont have the resources like in Western world they have alot of traditional care that is not much different from nowadays (like sitz baths has been around ages), wrapping the belly postpartum is also very ancient... I just had my baby girl in April (first baby) and it was such an amazing experience! When they give you pads (baby diapers) filled with ice treasure those! Those are amazing! I made pads with aloe Vera and witch hazel on them and froze them for a bit and it helped soothe down there! Pinterest is amazing for those kind of things! Make sure to have chapstick handy and ice while you are in between contractions! You will need it! Good luck Madison! I am praying for a safe delivery for you and your baby girl!

So my labor and delivery was super easy, I had my baby boy three weeks ago, and my pushing experience was totally different that what I expected, i could feel my contractions still but bc of my epidural they weren’t painful and I knew exactly when to push and it was totally painless (first baby so I had no clue what to expect) and I had a very minor tear I got two stitches, I never needed any pain relief spray the tucks pads were amazing the first few days, I didn’t need a belly wrap my skin on my stomach was back to normal I was in my old pants in just a week, and I gained a pretty decent ammount of weight, I never even took anything for pain after my second day post partum, everyone’s experience is so different, take your time pushing!!! That’s the number one thing my doctor said it’s a marathon not a sprint you want to stretch out slowly down there if baby comes rushing out quick that’s how you tear more

Just found your channel because I am due Oct 28th and literally can't stop watching postpartum videos 😄 I'm like you and wanna be as prepared as I possibly can before, during, and after. I have already purchased the majority of this stuff, but some other things I might recommend you picking up (cause I saw so many good things about them) are the Milkies Milk-Saver and the Kiinde Breastfeeding System. If you're planning to breastfeed those might make your life easier 😊 Good luck mama and congrats! We got this 💪

The frida washer is WAY better than the one they give you - definitely keep it! This might sound weird but I got depends underwear... giant pads help but depending on your ‘leaking’ level sometimes things are just like a crime scene down there and those helped me keep my pjs from being ruined! For boobies definitely get some pads that you can warm up or put in the freezer, Earth momma has a good pair on Amazon and then there is a gel pair I got from Target - life savers for if I ever got a blocked duct (warmth) or to ease nipple pain (cold) good luck girl! It’s not as terrible as it seems!

I just had my little girl the 22nd and you seem very prepared. They give you these pads that have cold packs in them and omg they are heaven! Use them and put like three tucks pads on your cold pack pad then spray it and yourself with the dermoplast spray and it really helps a ton!! Trust me you’ll be asking to take some of those cold pack pads home with you bc they just make a world of difference esp like sitting down when you are first able to get up and about. Also stool softeners are a must!

I used an adjustable gerdals with all 4 of my pregnancies. My stomach went right back how it looked before pregnancy. Loved it. real real supportive bras while breast feeding just because u don’t want sagging boobs that go down to your belly button. I have 4 kids and 40 years old and my boobs don’t sag. Also use a coco butter cream after showers while your stomach is going back to normal size to lighten up stretch marks and prevent more stretch marks.

Make sure to pack a great lip balm in hospital bag, it is so dry in hospitals, and with all the breathing during labour I found my lips were so dry so a really good balm is key, and actually I also had hard candies to suck on as well that really helped as well as a body moisturizer, the sheets I also found to be dry and scratchy so the moisturizer really helped, you will be fine, I wish you and Joel all the best

@shelbytrue4660

The hospital gave me most of this stuff and besides maxi pads and the tucks pads, everything they gave me was enough. If the hospital has the ice packs for down there, ask them if you can take some home. They’re the best thing ever!!! The hydrogel breast pads are amazing! Keep them in the freezer. Breastfeeding is not easy. It never was for me even with my 2nd and 3rd babies. You will have pain and your nipples will bleed. Just don’t give up! At about the 4 week mark, it will get easier. Also, do you have a pump? Even if you aren’t planning on leaving baby and giving her a bottle, you WILL need it!!!! When your milk comes in it is always too much for baby and you will get engorged. Get a pump before baby arrives. You won’t need it in the hospital, so leave it at home. Best of luck!!!

The bamboobies nipple cream is amazing! I went through the two jars in the first month. I'd recommend applying it after every single feed. That made a huge difference for me. Putting a little of your breastmilk on the nipple area helps heal and prevent cracking too. Oh the things moms talk about lol.

Also I just wanted to mention my daughter had a home birth for her second, she is a labour and delivery doula, and for all her clients she makes up a bag for them, and one item she treasured herself was a homemade large tea bag, I know sounds funny, but it is meant for your first bath after you have the baby, I am sorry I don't know all the ingredients she used, but I'm sure you could Google it, there are a lot of stuff to soothe and help you heal, and take down inflammation, you just use cheesecloth and it's good because you know exactly what your putting in it, and it looks like a giant tea bag you just plop in the bath with you and soak, it was her favorite thing that she found to be so helpful, and really helped reduced swelling and pain, so now she includes one that she makes for every client

Jambeauty89 just had a baby. You should watch her videos. She is a first time mom too and was very realistic in her expectations. And how she prepared I am a mom of three my youngest just turned 9. In my diaper bag for my kids all I put was, diapers, wipes, 2 to 3 changes of clothes (because sometimes babies poo goes up their back) and then nursing pads, changing pad but honeslty a recieving blanket works too. Thats all you actually need.

I'm one week postpartum, and the tucks, perineal spray, and the overnight always pads were SO NECESSARY. I did use mesh underwear the first couple of days bc that's the only way I could hold the giant hospital pads and ice packs on. Oh, I had a natural birth, and had 2nd degree tears. I switched to regular underwear with thin always overnights during the day 3.

Make some “padsicles” and wear them with adult diapers. All you need to make them is pads, witch hazel, aloe and an essential oil if you want. Freeze those babies and use them on your lady parts! They’re kind of like the Tucks but they last way longer. I loved Tucks but they didn’t stay cooling too long. And those belly shrinking bands are a gimmick. Mine didn’t do anything. I found it more comfortable to just keep wearing my maternity leggings since they are tight and kind of kept my belly from jiggling those first few weeks. And if you have a C Section you won’t want anything on your belly. But try it out if you think it’s worth it! And the Earth Mama perineal spray was my best friend. Stock up on the cold pads the hospital has too. They were stingy with them but I asked my nurse for a bag before I left and she hooked me up with everything!

First time mom in August- and what they don’t tell you is how much those stitches burn. You will not regret those soothing gel pads! Those and the nipple creams are must haves! I also enjoyed having lactation cookies (milk makers was my favorite brand) on hand at the hospital; they are supposed to help with milk production and make for a quick snack. Also, don't forget to bring a boppy pillow. Way easier to nurse on those than the thin hospital pillows. And slippers/flip flops for walking around.

Witch hazel pads to put down there on top of a pad Trust me it's amazing and it cools and help heals and takes away the soreness. If you end up with a c section which can always happen take care and not overdo things your stitches can pop open. Don't try and do it all either. Take time. Rest. And if you do have a csection don't freak about the little line scar you wear that with honor!

I can't imagine anyone really wanting to wear a wrap after the baby is born, everything is just so sore, and your really not gonna wanna deal with anything squeezing on your abdomen in that healing time. It'll honestly be the last thing you care about. I mean I personally wouldn't want that.... lose clothes are your goto at that time... also out of all panties... I prefer the hospital mesh panties over it all. holds all the pads and ice and doesn't squeeze you and is just all around way more comfortable!! But omg you're so cute! congratulations! My daughter is a little over a year and a half and I'm due with my son in a week and a half XD so I didn't dread the postpartum the first time cause I had no idea but I'm dreading it this time because the first 2 weeks were super difficult and painful.. Labor was a breeze compared to recovery because I had an epidural so I didn't feel too much pain during labor.. However just push through the first 3 weeks and you'll be good girl 👌 I promise it gets easier also last time I used the lansinoh lanolin nipple cream because that's what the hospital recommended and I felt like it did nothing.. Just my opinion but I've seen a ton of people rave about the medela tender care lanolin so I'm going to definitely give that a try this time around because I was told nursing does not get easier with the second one so I'm just mentally preparing for that.. Warning if no one has told you nursing hurts super badly the first 2 weeks just cause your body is adjusting so it doesn't happen to everyone but my nipples definitely cracked and bled.. I was told to nurse through it so I did and like I said after the first 2 weeks it was fine and I nursed my daughter until she was over a year old so don't worry just do your best 👌 every mom has different experiences and struggles and every child is different so as long as you are doing the best you can that is all that matters and everything will work out 👍plus all the pain is worth it to see your beautiful baby happy and healthy I promise 💗

I really recommend the lansinoh bead therapy for when your milk comes in. It helps relieve the pressure especially if you get a clogged duct. They also have a really good nipple cream that is natural so you don’t have to wash it off while breastfeeding. I also really recommend Milkmakers lactation cookies if you need help producing milk.

You are going to want some lidocaine spray on top of that cooling cucumber which hazel stuff you already got. Lidocaine will numb the pain. You'll also want some prune juice to help with that first bm

I have to say I'm not pregnant and not a mom, but I love watching your videos. My sister has a 6 month old she really liked the nipple cream that comes in a purple tube, I think it's called Lansinoh. And a friend of mine told me she put witch hazel on the thick maxipad and put in the freezer for a bit to help soothe and cool "down there".

That mother love nipple cream is the bomb diggity. Lanolin didn't do anything for me and it's way too thick and hurts to rub it across your painful nipples.

If you tear you will definitely want a numbing spray!!! It’s all I used the first month after giving birth to my first!!!

I'm expecting my second baby, and watching this video is reminding me of what I can expect. Sorry to say, but it's no less scary the second time around.

Honestly I gave birth 4 months ago and i was just like u I naught everything like u have and guess what. I used none of it. U don't get the time and when u do it's small bursts of time u get especially when breastfeeding. Also I was induced 8cm dialated then my son heart rate fell and I had a c section. And I did not pack for c section. Childbirth and postpartum to me was not great all all but I hope yours goes well. I has post natal depression and still going through it slightly. Being a mother is no joke. I'm suffering after 4 months with no sleep at all a colic child. And teething has kicked it. Help me lool

After I had my daughter I ended up not breastfeeding for long. My breasts became so engorged. They were hot and painful. A friend of mine told me to put cold cabbage leaves in my bra. It was a lifesaver. There is an enzyme in the cabbage that draws out the milk. That was the best thing anyone shared with me. I never bled much after having my babies. The tucks pads and a witch hazel rinse really soothed everything. I read other comments and agree on the stool softeners.

Depends discreet... get a pack or 2 of those for like the first week or two. They are a lot like the mesh panties you are going to get from the hospital. With the pads even though they were huge and long accidents happen(bleed through, they shift, etc etc) with the depends you basically have panties and pad all in one and you can just throw them away instead of chancing ruining a good pair of you panties

I honestly didn’t take care of my body during pregnancy and after I was just far too lazy and too sleepy lol I got like 3 tiny stretch marks and my body bounced back. My boobs though now that’s a different story they’re not bad like how I’ve seen others but they’re not perky anymore 😩

Which of this stuff did & didn't you use? Also, I don't see a hospital bag video; what did you pack that u actually needed vs what u didn't end up needing?

Don't be scared! Labor is nothing if you get an epidural and recovery bleeding is less then if you have your period! You will do great!

I had an emergency c section and ended up buying belly bands to tighten my stomach I was so sensitive whenever I laughed or bent down and bought tight underwear that goes over your belly button just to help out with my tummy so just in case! But prayers hope everything goes smoothly ☺️new subscriber and loving your channel

They taught me in the hospital to line my pads with the Tucks pads. It was very soothing and helped a lot with how sensitive and tender your nether regions are after giving birth. Stool softener is also good to have on hand as well because with everything tender down there the last thing you want to do is aggravate that area by having to exert force. The ice packs or “padsicles” the hospital provides you with post delivery are amazing. They help so much!

Honest organic nipple balm was my absolute favorite! It’s a but thinner than others, so it goes on smooth and you don’t want to be having to rub hard in that area! Also, you don’t have to wash it off before latching baby 👶🏼

Hi madison, u should also buy adult diapers too. Easier for u to use after giving birth. No need to wash just throw it in a dustbin. Hope u have a safe delivery😊

Tux pads and a few cans of dermoplast spray (I may have misspelled that) this will be a life saver after you have the baby! Take them with you to the hospital.

I found out I was allergy to witch hazel, so I did the sitz bath with regular warm water, worked just fine. I didn’t have a lot of that stuff when I had my kids, and it all turned out a okay.
