There are probably also people who have you in Hamalert who will turn up on a frequency without going to the POTA webpage first and who won't realise you've QRTed the spot. That doesn't excuse their failure to listen of course!
I know I am preaching to the choir, but you should always copy who you are talking to before you call them do not depend on spots. Accidents happen! Some of those may have been pushing spot before they even worked. KM4CFT. Good luck with the new product whatever it is!
I finally got an FT-817 with a CW filter. Night and day difference. Strangely, the filter had been installed incorrectly so the previous owners must not have ever used it. I found out when I went to do a POTA activation and had no audio :( It was right side up (a common mistake), but the pins weren't going into one of the connectors. Haha, I didn't see you lock the VFO and wondered how you managed to never bump it. Question answered. The tight controls can be tricky with that radio.
