I love potatoes and home grown just take it to a new level! I'm fascinated by how different varieties can be so different! Currants in the freezer for winter!
Hi Elizabeth, there may not have been many potatoes under those two plants but they looked lovely and you never know what might be under the plants further along the row :-)
I just harvested 2 pots of my Charlotte potatoes because they looked like they were just starting to get blight! Black spots on the leaf! Not lots but not too bad. You have a lot of rows of potatoes!

Hi Elizabeth, I really am surprised that you get anything to grow at all in that plot well done on a harvest of potatoes, I don't think I would even try growing there I'll stick to my pots, Take care and stay safe.
What does "allotment" refer to? I notice a lot of folks posting from the UK and Australia use allotment in their titles: Allotment Diary, Allotment Harvest; and I don't know what it means.
It’s a plot of land on a communal site that you rent for a year. They have a long history in the UK particularly when the industrial revolution happened and people moved to the cities.

I think, at least here in the US, every public school should have to develop community gardens on their property with small plots that every person can use for free on a first come first served basis. I'd like everyone to have a chance at growing their own food. Wouldn't that be nice?
I don't know what's going on but your potato harvest is disappointing. You cannot expect more with the plants on it. You will have to do some fertilizing and soil fertility.
