@@doncinati7644 in Rev they greatly simplified Johnny's leveling up process and his normals were also buffed compared to XX. In XX you can't do leveling up back to LvL3 after a combo

@@doncinati7644 because of the necessity of frc for combos and mist finer cancels for defense(tax returns, I call them), as well as enkasu(purposely whiffing the second hit of ensenga so you can setup bacchus sigh to hold pressure). You need a stupid amount of manual dexterity compared to other characters just to stay viable, and his attacks are in awkward angles with huge endlag. And he has few defensive options, as well as no grounded overheads. But he is really strong and builds tension fast. Maybe faster than the rest of the cast. tl;dr He is needlessly intricate with his techniques.

Can you believe that Pot in +R was nelfed compare to his AC+? His AC+ could vacuum you with his 2S AND DID A FRC COMBO AFTER HIS POTBUSTOUR!!!! Also, in AC+, his 5K could give you a FULL COMBO after a slidehead Knockdown. In AC+R, he could no longer do it.

And 6K overhead comboed into 2HS> heat giving you HELLA meter gain + keeping the opponent next to you so you can mix them to death

@@tanyaharmon6739 i mean yeah single command grab into like raw 45+% damage is scary but if he doesn't have the tools to get in and get that buster then it really doesn't matter... I'd trade raw damage via command grabs with tools to help him get into position.

Same, got it with all the bells and whistles a couple of days a go on sale. Romen cancelling seemed super intimidating but is the most liberating fighting game mechanic ever. I'm in love with Xrd Rev 2, shame it took me so long to see it.

Fun Fact: Mike Z fucking DOMINATED people as Potemkin back in the day! Say what you want about him now but you can't deny his skill with this character! Potemkin's playstyle and moveset was the direct inspiration for Big Band in Skullgirls!

Not only that, but he was also inspired greatly by Millia Rage. Almost all characters hair are alive in Skullgirls but Fillia is a near direct copy of Millia's move sets and combo style.

Rollback is as good as it gets online, so to say the experience is great is just as good as saying offline is great. It makes gameplay inputs better sure, but the game's problems are still there. TL;DR it isnt a new game type of deal, so its up to if you even liked it in the first place

Pretty good , it felt really well. The lobbies sometimes crash but not so much that it gets irritating. Other than that online experience is great

Been great. Only a couple matches had visible rollback and the highest delay I've used per recommendation is 1 in 150 ping connections.

Explore the cast at basic level to know what moves might end up being thrown at you by opponents online. When you find "the one', work on basic combos first so they're consistent damage. Know how far your basic attacks reach so you don't whiff too much. Save insane combos for when you feel confident in your current state. Don't be afraid to spend meter, meter doesn't carry between rounds. As others noted, dustloop is great for rundowns and combos and guilty bits is great for character specific stuff too.

Ah yes, Potemkin. The character that's a bigger mind screw to me than my opponent because my head absolutely cannot wrap around the fact that he _can't forward dash_

His dash is Hammer Fall» charge back then F+HS cancel with punch which has armor along with the ender you can cancel it anytime and Roman cancelling the ender gives a combo on hit and a mix-up on block.. so while not being a traditional dash (it has to be charged, a bit slow too) stringing/poking into Hammer fall along with the multiple options makes it quite the dash.

It could be for balance sake, you know. I'm purely guessing but a traditional input dash even if it was a hop animation instead of a run style would make Potes most likely pretty strong.

Damage in strive was too big , if it was worse in previous iterations pre xrd doesn't mean that damage complaints are less legitimate. You sound like a grumpy oldman "back in my days damage was huge and no one complained! "
