Potential GW2 Mystery Portal Fix: Are Boss Hunts Returning? | EA Responds to Fanbase Request 

I'm not even gonna lie I probably haven't clicked on one of these notifs in like a year but THIS is some news worth hearing

Im glad boss hunts will return (hopefully) because i still need finish my collection of hats. One thing i dont like about the mystery portal rotation is it being 1 month for each game mode. id perfer 2 weeks for each gamemode (except boss hunts) but thats just my opinion Now all we need is: -Rux to sell the torchwood and hovergoat skins -Community challenges to make a return

This is something worth staying around for. When I saw this, I shed a tear of joy. The GW2 we all know and love could ACTUALLY be coming back!

The issue for achievement hunters is that even if boss hunts do come back (really hoping it does) community challenges still won't be available

Best part of this is the lack of Super Speed garbage that normally plagues the Portal challenges. Finally, we can be done with Lawnathon and Rapid Revenge.

I'd be really happy if Boss Hunts actually returned. I got one trophy on PS4 related to Boss Hunts I can't get and the game was sitting at 97% ever since.

If this new event rotates comes to pass that might get me to play PVZ GW2 again. There hasn’t really been much going on for me consistently play, but the idea of Boss Hunt and Cats and Dinos, and Soil Survivors, coming back interests me.

EA Shepard gave an update to us on the status of the mystery portal. In the community post called “will boss hunts come back” EA Shepard said he relayed the information to the team again, and has confirmed that the team has become aware of the community’s growing requests for boss hunts to return, as well as other popular game modes

I really do hope we see changes with events since a lot of content and achievements at the moment are impossible to obtain without modding the game and when you get the event related achievements there's still the three community challenge related achievements that just are impossible to obtain outright. I really hope we do see some changes sooner or later especially since the events we have in rotation right now are repetitive and just not fun in the slightest.

I played boss hunts and community challenges on the old account. Because it’s new and community challenges and boss hunts were discontinued, the chances of me getting the trophies are very low

Hopefully it will also happen on console. I really want that Sasquatch hat.

This gives me small hope for the future of PvZ, however I’m still gonna hang onto the thought that PvZ is dead.

Does the pvz garden warfare franchise have life left?

While this may seem contradictory to my name and persona, I’d really like to see Unicorn Chomper be available again. The three foreseeable options are to either make it a permanent max rank reward fro GW1, so anyone who maxes out that game (and endure the pain of the challenges) can get it, without an arbitrary deadline. The second is to make it a reward for achieving max rank in GW2, so then you can get the coveted 55th rank plate. The third and most likely (assuming that they do it at all) is to put it behind a paywall. But let’s be honest, that’s by far the lamest decision.

They also Locked special head Gears from boss hunts. If you Don’t know if you did deafet a boss in a boss hunt you would get a special head Gear based on the difficulty. And since the boss hunts have dissapired you can’t get them anymore so i think that bringing the boss hunts back is a great idea

I would like to suggest this, we can have half an half, in two weeks we can have a normal game mode (like team vanquish) and the other two weeks we can have a boss hunt!

Is the ban issue solved or are they still working on it?

I would love these MPE to come back. But of course there are so many that it wouldn't really fit into the rotation so my suggestion would be 2 weeks a month for these events. Ex: 7 days for for To heal or Not to Heal and another 7 for Yeti King. That way it can be ideal to have something "fresh" into the game. And it doesn't have to be a boss hunt, it could be Healz and Soil Survivors. These would be really great to come back, especially for the new players that are for some reason still piling up. And while we're at it, MAYBE bring back community challenges while the events are running. It could keep the players engaged to the game with two game modes (Mystery Portal and Standard Multi) and challenges to do. But who knows, this is just a suggestion that could never happen. (Hopefully it does happen)

if boss hunts returned, i would -buy "expensive" xbox live because i don't want to buy pvz gw2 on steam cause i'm cheap- go back to playing pvz gw2 in a blink of an eye. (i haven't played in a while)

I played all of them on my old xbox account the last update i remember was the super brainz rework but my xbox broke and i switch to playstation so i couldn't save my stuff Maybe make a 1 boss hunt town hall event where the boss hunt is random I dont know im just guessing if i had to choose 1, I would do sasaqach

The weird thing is it gets you the platinum trophy even if you don’t have the boss hunts and cats versus Dino’s achievements it’s weird I’ve had the platinum trophy for about a whole year now and I still don’t have those achievements and I’m probably not gonna get them anytime soon maybe I don’t know but only time can tell I made my own custom achievements to a.k.a. get to 54,55

Still hoping that the team will reintroduce the Hovergoat and Torchwood costumes and the PvZ Heroes hats into Rux as I believe they are not in rotation as of now

Hey there Red it's Stukapooka here! Based the name off of my ps3 username and maybe someday people can catch me in an occasional game of gw1. To clear up my one boss season thing meant one month per season being dedicated to a particular hunt and the rest being modes like soil survivors or cats vs dinos. Anyway to add on to this EAshepard also created a post for us to talk about our community experiences and the bfn switch chomper unicorn hat on the forums. I must admit i'm pessimistic about our chances at getting this but all steam ahead as mods have already done these modes justice and unlike new content the code already exists in game. It's alaways been a mystery to me as why they never created a better set portal rotation from the start. Still shocked capture the taco survived somehow! I'll be submitting my own list ideas after heildanka's when I have time aside from work but i'll be sure to let them know you've covered this subject and that we're gaining momentum as zeroxfuzion appears to also have commented on the forums in support of this idea. Seeing the community rally together in such numbers after years of inactivity makes me feel a bit sad in a good way. I need revenge on yeti king!!!
