Poti, Georgia an easy day trip from Batumi 

On our way from Kutaisi to Batumi, we stopped in Poti for lunch and to walk around a bit. It is a nice town that still has the Soviet feel while a more Western vibe if that makes sense. We walked through the central park and found an old Soviet mosaic. We also arrived at the end of a service at the cathedral.
Poti could easily be a day trip from Batumi.
