This channel and our website are about our travels around the world. Unlike many other channels, I am an over 60 traveler, this will be a much more relaxed channel for viewers than other channels. You will see our trips through our eyes with less noise from our mouths.
I have traveled to 5 continents (North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa) and over 35 countries.

I have an 05 E320 CDI, same color, and did a very similar road trip last June from VA to Colorado. I had the exact same steering issue, heavy right turns, and had replaced the rack right before the trip. While out in CO I was reversing out of a parking spot and POP went my new rack and the exact same issue was back. Drove it home and put another (used) rack in, lasted another 6 months or so, and now its done the same thing. I have replaced almost the entire front suspension as well as inner and outer tie rods, and while trying to diagnose this issue I have been through 4 PS pumps (reman), 5 racks (2 reman, 3 used), 3 SPS valves (new), and a new set of high and low pressure lines including the cooler. I am at my whits end! Have you had any more issues since? I found this video through the forums, and was sort of amazed at the number of similarities.
I haven't had any issues since the replacement last June or July. I have been overseas for the last 3.5 months traveling. I will be back soon, and hopefully, it is still working as it should. There is a cv like joint between the steering column and rack (or just above rack) that can cause similar issues. I almost swapped it out as well. Thanks for watching
There's almost always a few gallons left in the tank does the unit account for that if it does not that means you're getting way better mileage than what you are mathematically typing in
I have driven it down to 0 miles left when I left my wallet at home. I drove for about 5 miles before I could meet my son with my wallet. So there was probably a little left.
Fethiye is one of my favorite places in Turkey. The Tuesday market is one of the reasons. So much to explore, the fruit and veg are fresh and delicious.
Fethiye is probably my favorite place in Turkey. A great mix of seaside, small town, very walkable, and extremely friendly locals. #travel #turkey #fethiye #marina #oldtown
Hi, my 2002 E320 CDI estate car managed 43.5 mpg (UK gallons) overall on a trip from London to Glasgow and the last 100 miles of that was through a snowstorm where speed was reduced to 25mph in places because of reduced visibility. Cheers.
These have to be one of the best used cars out there that is not an EV or Hybrid. Comfort, style, mpg, and used price. My previous car was a 1993 Honda Civic hatchback I bought new. It would get 35-45MPG (US), but the comfort was not close to this car. My wife has a 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid, it is a little larger interior, has better MPG 45+ (shorter range due to tank size). The ride is not as comfy as my CDI though.
I noticed you have the pano roof. Does yours still work? I don't use mine because the passenger side has an issue that I cannot figure out on my own. It's off the track or something. Difficult to find an independent that will work on a roof. It whistles a little bit, but I've gotten used to it. My favorite car ever!
Looks great! Now get cold one out the fridge, light the braai and take a break on your deck - you deserve it! PS - that is a lot of weight you lost - wd - and no, I am not going to building a deck... ;P
Yes, absolutely. I used to drive about 6 miles and got around 26-28 mpg. It will depend on the amount of traffic of course, can drop a bit if you are stuck in bumper to bumper traffic.
@@gittejakobsen177 I haven't had any issues. My commute has been 6-10 miles since buying it and has been fine so far in 5 years. Since 2020 many of my trips have been under 5 miles to the store, etc.
E320 CDI's don't have a DPF system, so the only real concern is water concentration in the oil. Just change your oil more often than factory spec and you'll be fine
I lived a total of 40 years in Atlanta and never heard of the circus train wrecking until just before I moved away. I think this weird nature center opened around 1990. A colleague of mine visited the place and showed me photographs. I did not feel inspired to go visit the center myself, and I was horrified that they had such ugly statues of little Atlanta-area children. Now I find out those were supposed to be in honor of dead monkeys. I still do not wish to visit.
I live not far from the nature center so I decided to check out the statues. It was a bit strange. My family has been in the area for over 130 years and never heard about this massacre before. The house at the nature center was my late neighbor's birth home that was relocated there.
I"ve been in Albufeira last Week and Honestly since i was alone there i just visit Old Town at Night just walk for 20min see whats in there and whats going on but didn't seen Much. Definitely up 10pm the Party is on..
You either love or hate Albufeira. As a vacation spot it might be ok, but not sure it would be a great place to live due to the number of tourists. What are your thoughts?
