Ive always had a tendency to sit down after a shower immediately, i never thought why it just felt right to sit with a towel for a moment before getting dressed
Haven't looked into this much, but just from experience, hot water affects my blood pressure and results in episodes. I've had better experiences with colder or lukewarm water.
@@beckheorshepls5397 it definitely sucks. I remember before I found out what I had, I'd be in the shower with scorching hot water, and then having near syncope every time lmao. Honestly, I do my shower routine, and then turn on hot water for a minute, and test fate. Always a fun gamble.
Does your school have an elevator? My daughters school has an elevator and they actually wanted her to use the elevator but she refused. Her school banned smart watches but she gets to keep hers so she can monitor her heart rate.
Just got officially diagnosed today! I have been struggling since December after a really bad flu. I love hot showers so thats been really hard for me!! Thank you for sharing ❤
If you feel like you are about to pass out please sit on the floor as soon as possible and tuck your legs between to knees it protects your head if you do faint i know this cuz i have pots too
I do this in the shower too before I get out. It feels like a reset! So refreshing actually! Except I’m just now discovering what POTS is and I’m discovering that I have these same symptoms
Do you not have limb discolouration or redness with your pots upon taking a shower etc? Just wondering if anyone else suffers with this & the other pots symptoms. I'm in a terrible way just showering I'm very reactive to cosmetics so anything greasy or oily seems to worsen my pots symptoms so I'll go even more red with my limbs and cleaning products set off my pots even
I’ll be laying down and I can feel panic SOMETIMES my heart rate will be 70-100 depending but most of the time 88-95 When I even move like if I just roll over it will go to 105-110 If I sit up sometimes it will stay normal and sometimes 140-144 If I stand it will sometimes do a 170-140 and sometimes it will stay normal like 110. Sometimes I can feel anxiety symptoms and sometimes I won’t. These also come and go. Like for two weeks I’ll feel this and the next two I won’t. I will get a little faint feeling but if I breathe in and breathe out it will go away just kinda like the standing heart rate will relax but if I walk around it will get high again. It’s ups and downs. It never always does it every day. I do have anxiety disorder but I generally don’t understand what’s going on here I can calm it down once I feel relaxed enough to by breathing in and out
I had tilt table test today It came out to be negative but I have been observing my heart rate has been shooting till 130 and coming back down to 120 115 110 105 but mostly between 120 to 130 140 resting heart rate was between 95 and 105 I didn’t faint bp was always normal so technician gave the diagnose as negative as my heart beat was fluctuating or maybe he was not aware of POTS and only testing for orthostatic hypotension I want to understand Do I have pots or not I am from India 🇮🇳 I never had covid or viral infection But I am having headache and dizziness from 20 days
