The Transcending Borders Film and Presentation Series is a regular program of the WNMU annual event Fiesta Latina that occurs annually in June. In 2020, the event was cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions, and WNMU decided to put the series on-line as a virtual presentation. The series aims to bring a diverse audience together to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the historical, economic, social and cultural significance of various forms of traditional Mexican and indigenous art.
