The stock used for this graft is Euphorbia nerifolia. The scars onthe stock are where deciduous keaves obce were. Its also grafted on trigona also. You got a nice one there Ana!!! In a few years it will grow huge!! They can grow on their own roots, just slower. I like the ones grrafted on nerifolia best!! Nice rounded trunk!! I have some of both on nerifolia and trigona . Thanks for sharing your great plant with us Ana!!! Looks great in its new pot!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks out to Las Vegas, have a wonderful week ahead!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌷🌴🌸🌿🌻🍀🌾💐🌱🌹🌳🤞😃👍

The nerifolia looks like a stronger rootstock. Oh so leaves used to be where the marks are? That’s interesting. 🙂

Lovely Euphorbia crest, Ana. Nicely repotted, too. Looks much better in that pot. Thank you for sharing with us as always. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌸🌺🌼🏜☕

What a BEAUTIFUL Euphorbia you have added to your collection Ana. I do not own a Euphorbia yet, but this is enticing! I like the GREEN pot too.

I hope you give it a try. 😊 Euphorbia are not demanding.

Great repot Ana! The crested Euphoria looks wonderful and happy! I have no crested ones because I have lost a number of Euphoria over the years. The crested ones are expensive and so I am afraid I will kill it!

Thanks! Some euphorbia can be challenging for me as well. Overtime, I just keep the ones that stay happy in my climate. Hopefully this one will like the desert environment. ☺️

I'm a bonsai guy but I just got one a week ago and I've been into cacti and succulents ever since. I happen to just come across it at my local asian market. First time ever seeing one. I got pricked while repotting it and had bump on that spot for like 3 days.

Stunningly gorgeous plant! I usually don't care for Euphorbias but that one is an exception. How pretty. Do you know how to drill a hole in a ceramic pot? The pot you chose is perfect but hopefully you'll find someone who will live in the one it came in. It's pretty too.
@CactusCaffeine
@CactusCaffeine 8 месяцев назад
Yes, I have a diamond drill bit that I use to drill in ceramic pots. However, the pot material of this one is very thin. I’m afraid I will crack the whole pot if I drill into it. I may just use it as a decorative pot for indoors. 😊

Hi Ana! Thank goodness you repotted it! It was so wet you could have lost it. Beautiful plant!
@CactusCaffeine
@CactusCaffeine 8 месяцев назад
You are right! Underneath those rocks, it was hard to tell how wet the soil was. It was like a sponge. 🧽 😆

Sometimes you can see the rudamentary roots growing from the bottom of these grafts depending on humidity. They look better on their own roots but they obviously grow much slower. This one is a bit green so should survive on its own roots. Good to give it a boost with this new substrate. If its been potted a while, you can tell the soil is too wet cos no roots lol 😊 Im wondering if it is possible to layer these to ensure adequate root growth before removing them from the root stock 🤔 I'm going to think about it and will do a video on it when I do it. This should mitigate failure to the max. It is always scary removing these beautiful things and there must be a less worrying way to do it! 😊

Interesting video, Ana. This Euphorbia Lactea besides being cristata seems to be also variegated (ghost), isn't it ? I bought a cristata, but the green one. Thanks for your video.
@CactusCaffeine
@CactusCaffeine 8 месяцев назад
Yes it is the ghost type. Funny cause I’ve never seen the crested green form. Somehow I just assumed that all the crested ones are the ghost variety only because I only see the white ones available here. Lol! 😜 Now I will be in the lookout for the crested green form. 😉

Beautiful Lactea! I have the regular Lactea and also a green grafted crested euphorbia, but I'd love a white crested lactea. This is the first time I've seen one and I'm in love!

Such a beauty! I was given one as a gift & I overwatered it one winter, I couldn't understand why the soil was always so dry. It was probably infested with something, one day I saw the lactea with a bruise... rotting! 😢😢😢
@CactusCaffeine
@CactusCaffeine 8 месяцев назад
Oh no. 😟 I was also so disappointed when my first grafted crested Lactea died. Taking care of the Trigona rootstock was hard for me too. I was careful watering it but it was the sunburn that killed it. 😣

Yikes! Your winter is too cold for them. I lost my big Trigona pot one winter too. It was too big to move so I left it outdoors against the wall and hoped for the best. It did not survive. 😔 I hope you can find another one, Ziggy!

Try using tall concrete planters. Im not an expert but mine is going crazy in the concrete 9"×9" concrete cube planter. Plus when it gets too big and wants to turn over the pot is super heavy and wont topple easily

That outside pot is called a cache-pot hence the no drainage. It is use to hide the ugly grower’s plastic pot
