I bought rooted cuttings that already had buds. The flowers still matured after I pot them. They're still shedding leaves 5 days after I've potted them. I hope at least one survive. Do they need regular pruning in pots? Do the flowers only sprout on new growth, like jasmine?
Regular pruning only if it is healthy and growing well. Do not prune newly repotted plant since it will cause more stress. Flowers are more on the new growth.
@@ninelinks3443 OK TY. I'll wait to see if they'd get established. I watered today so now I'm worried about leaving them out in the sun should it suddenly rain. 😅 Read somewhere they're prone to root rot.
Yes, this plant does not handle wetness too well. However, if you have good coarse potting mix and good drainage then I would not worry about rain. Good luck
I have one in greenhouse and temp dropped around 22F and still doing well. So from my experience, 22F be a safe limit not to go any further below that.
