Just want to add that you’re really not supposed to add anything to a car seat so that’s why I said only for emergency purposes would I use a puppy pad (don’t want my child sitting in urine/feces especially if he’s in an exploratory mood and will be touching it🤢)
I remember being a kid and wishing we had a portable toilet in the car, it's neat to see someone actually having one! You're a good mom for taking your kid's needs into consideration. If car toilets had been a thing when I was young, I'm sure I'd have tried it out
Teach him to use water to wash off that area too ! Its so gross just to wipe it with toilet paper as a muslim we use water and i can't believe christians despite their advancements in science and becoming modern they still doesnt use water in 2024??? Yuck
I love this idea ! I used a training toliet in my trunk for my first and loved it.Cleaned it after each use. It provides privacy and safety when you are out , instead of stopping on some side road with a small child alone. I love how it keeps the consistency with what we do when are training them at home so we don’t get suckered into putting a diaper when travelling and missing the point of getting them used to peeing in a potty! Also, I paid $13 for the potty. Same price or cheaper then a McDonald’s meal, which I’m Sure half the people complaining about the cost of the potty are buying for their kids ,Multiple times a week 😂😅

It’s only $20 if you want one. But I will say for my lifestyle it is required lol. Most parks in my town don’t have bathrooms or they are disgusting from homeless people using them so I either put my potty trained kid in a diaper which doesn’t make sense or I keep a potty for situations where it’s needed.
I mean she’s saying these are “must haves”. I was lucky to be able to stay home with my child while she was potty training. Everyone does it differently.
I’m not judging at all.we all parent differently and honestly I wanted to this too when I was potty training my toddler cuz I was scared of her wetting her car seat and having to wipe down everything but it happens and that’s part of potty training . when I was potty training my two year old I kept her in diaper when we were out and in underwear when we were home.it was like that for almost a month.but towards the end I started taking her out with no diaper and just a extra pair of clothes (there was still accidents).and would remind her to hold it cuz we were almost at the store.and just talk to her to keep her mind occupied.and she’s three now still has slight accidents.but can’t expect them to not have any.it takes time for there little bodies to get the hang of it.

We don’t use it so much for long car rides but more so for when we’re at places with dirty bathrooms or at a public park that doesn’t even have bathrooms.
Instead of having a full blown toilet in the back, they make small travel ones that you just put the bag in(like what your doing with the big potty), and it is very portable so you could use that in public restrooms instead of the toilet seat!!
Now I will say in my head I first said girl just have him use bathrooms out like rest of us or learn to hold it. Then in my head I said girl that’s so rude just because it’s not your experience don’t mean it’s wrong. We can all do things differently and they are all correct ways to do them. I apologize my brain went judgy first but I am human. I don’t judge often but when my brain tries it I immediately figure my emotions out snd change the thought process. We r all human some of u should try this
Lots of critical comments. People feel bad that they can’t or won’t do this, then project it on others… It’s fair to criticize whoever you want. But like at the same time it’s her kid and life? Why be triggered at how she does stuff lol…
The other ideas are great! But.... I found a problem with that foldable seat "cover" / "topper" thing. THE GERMS..... This sounds like a great way to transfer public toilet germs.... Onto.. 1. Your Hands 2. The bag you have to carry it in. 3. And everything... EVERYTHING else you touch directly after. Yeah...... Nope 👎. 🤢
I think people are annoyed bc a lot think this is pretty unnecessary. I feel like accidents happen but this is kinda teaching your kid not to hold it at all…there was a time with my second born she was just recently trained and she swore she was going to poop in the car at school pick up we’d be there for a whole 20 more mins so I put one of her old pull ups on in case and guess what…she ended up not going and went at home. I’ve seen lots of influencer moms use something like this and I think the difference is they are actually saying for emergencies and you seem to use it daily as if your car is a bathroom not a car. But hopefully as he gets older he’ll be better about holding it.
You’re making assumptions from a 60 second video. I prefer him to use this instead of dirty public restrooms. He’ll hold his pee just fine for long car rides. He occasionally has accidents like any kid can or on a long car ride he can say he needs to potty and we can pull over quickly versus having to go find a dirty rest stop. Ooof or one time we were at Barnes and Noble and he had to go potty and they had signs saying they were closed! We ran to the parking lot and used the car potty which thank god we had because the mall next door was still closed so he would have just had a full on accident without that car potty.
@@BriannaBadoyeah no I was saying bc you said in the start you use this every time you use the car. So that seems like a lot especially bc like everyone has kids potty trained I think like a kid holding for a 1 hour trip should be doable. But yeah the situations you described totally sound like emergencies I was responding to the video itself saying we use it every time we’re in the car not making assumptions
@@Minnazs yeah we use it everytime we’re in the car like once we make it to our destination instead of using the bathroom at the destination. For example if we drove 30 minutes to a park, he can hold his pee for 30 minutes I’m not pulling over for him to pee, its once we arrive at the park and the bathrooms are gross we’ll just run to the car when he has to go
@@BriannaBado yeah totally.. I mean what works for someone works you know. Also my kids also never used public bathrooms except in airports like where there’s no choice and I think most moms don’t love the idea of kids in public restrooms so I think people are just saying it’s great you’re taking precautions especially because your kid is probably recently trained but everyone else doesn’t just like public restrooms some kids can hold it for longer and I’m sure your son will be able to as well eventually. I would have liked this for long road trips instead of using rest stops
I dont understand why everyone is so upset about this, I whish my parents had something like this when i was 3 (almost 4) when we took a road trip from MI to NY. I remember my mom putting my 1 yr old sisters diaper on me once to pee in ( it didn't work), and my dad also emptying out the cooler so i could pee in it and then dumping it.
Just because you don’t like this or wouldn’t do it doesn’t mean someone else might, don’t judge her she’s helping other people out as well. Be more respectful and if you don’t agree no one cares. She shouldn’t have to explain herself. This idea is brilliant! Even if a kid goes potty right before doesn’t mean they can hold it for so long. Or they might drink a lot and need to go a little while later, you would expect other moms to thank her and says she’s doing good but instead she gets hate. Wow where is the human decency
The issue is the kids safety by putting those liners in the carseat. Are you really so dense that you think it's just people judging for no reason? Lol.
I would keep puppy pads in my diaper bag for when I changed my baby on public changing tables. I use to use the plastic changing pad then stick it back into my diaper bag 🤢 not realizing how dirty the pad was.
I honestly think some moms are so upset about this because their toddlers still aren't potty trained. My son was potty trained by 26 months and i kept a potty in my car, too. ❤
I think probably bc it’s really gross. Having an emergency potty is fine but she’s basically saying they use it every day like even for a hour trip to target? Just have them go before you leave and hold it til you get back
@@Minnazsit’s not gross as long as you clean it which she said Clorox wipes, her kid is two or three you can’t expect any kid to hold their pee for so long, they have small blatters kids might go right before they leave but then 30 minutes in need to go again, you just never know? You can’t expect a kid to hold it for as long as YOU think. Be more respectful
My sister has that potty for her daughters. Her second youngest is lazy and just pees on the carpet below her TV. Shes almost 4 and can't open the bathroom door SHE USED TO but like I said SHES LAZY ASF.
It's giving tell me it's your first child without telling me it's your first child 😭 But you do you girly as long as the kids happy you're gonna be happy and who doesn't like a bit of joy 😅
A bunch of strangers shouldn't be watching your child use the toilet there are pedophiles out there. I guess you don't give a shit that a man could be watching your child most vulnerable.
absolutely disgusting 💀 you wsnt your car to smell like piss and shit? they can wear a diaper in the car or wear their underwear and learn the consequences of not using the bathroom before getting in the car
You dump it out immediately. I’m not driving around with loose pee and poop sitting in the trunk. I’d rather him use the potty in the trunk than a disgusting toilet at a public park
If they piss themselves the car will smell like piss anyway and she gets rid of the waste asap. if this works for someone that is successfully raising a healthy child then I see no harm as long as the child eventually is able to hold it for long enough to not need it and it’s disposed of correctly. At that kid’s age, I would’ve been left to sit in it in a pull up and then scolded when I got home and had to be cleaned.
lolololol. when i was a kid my mom just dangled me out of the car door and i peed on the side of the road. i really think all of that is completely unnecessary. do you live in your car? are you driving 3hrs away every day? why is your kid having to pee THAT often?? pretty sure you're doing kitty training wrong. part of the idea is to learn to hold urine in for increasing periods of time. not have mommy stop to use the "car potty" wtf are you doing to this generation of kids???
I never said I use this every 20 minutes during a car ride. We rarely use this during a car ride. It’s used when we’re at parks that don’t have public restrooms or when we’re out and about and the public restrooms are super dirty or not safe. Stop making assumptions from 60 second videos
