It's Potty Time!!! I know so many parents are going to be quick to judge because they think every kid should be potty trained easily. However, potty training is one of the only situations that your child can control. In our case, we have a very stubborn 3-year-old girl. We have literally tried EVERYTHING! This is our struggle.

I dont thinkive cried so much in my life. My son is 23 months. He holds it and then runs and hides to pee and poop. Then I take him to the sitter and she raved about how easy he was and had ZERO accidents. That made me realize he can do it, he wont do it for me. He plays games with me, laughs, runs and hides. 7 days in and it feels like an eternity. How do you stay patient and enthusiastic😭😭😭

You are absolutely NOT alone!!! I have a set of twin boy they are 3 years old. One has mastered the potty training since last year, and the other stubborn twin yells & screams and pees everywhere else but within his potty. I'm literally pulling my hair out trying to potty train my little one. God bless you

My 3 year old boy is so afraid to sit on the potty and he holds it. I feel so stressed out because he looks so afraid and I hug him while he’s sitting down to make him feel better. I have been doing research and can’t seem to find anything that would be helpful. :(

Omg I’m watching this video, thank u sooo much for normalizing this. My son is 2 and he would just cry his lungs out sitting on the toilet seat and he would pee soon after he gets off the seat. Thank u! Ur not alone though m watching the video after almost 2 yrs but seriously can’t thank u enough to help moms like me who are still struggling and are sick of watching all those mommy videos training their little ones in a breeze.

Omg this is my daughter to a tee even her reason is she’s “scared” mine won’t even sit on it she is almost 4 and I feel like a horrible parent. So sick of the shaming too! I’m at a loss and our more recent escapade is “potty presents”. thank you for this video it feels good to not be alone. Did you ever get her to go?

Yes you are not alone! She is going now thankfully. We’re not fully there yet and sometimes she has an accident because she thinks it’s funny. For some reason it’s easier to get her to poop. She’s so backwards. She did it on her own terms though. You’re not a horrible mom! You’re perfect! Every kid is different. To help with the scared thing, we let her pick out her underwear (again, second try) and we bought her a paw patrol potty and let her put stickers on it. We also were given a potty watch free to review on amazon once she started going. It just heroes every so often to remind us to take her. We used it for maybe 2-3 days and then things finally clicked. I’m going to be doing an update video soon. I hope things start working for you soon!

Danie and Danny we have had some success today! I bought the potty prizes which is a huge frozen toy haul. We went pant less all day and I told her she could have a prize when she goes. No accidents all day and two pees in the potty- the last one was at 130p fingers crossed she keeps it up! Looking forward to your update!

OMG! mine just turned 4 and it has been a nightmare. She just wont go. I tried stickers, toys, everything... theres some days that she will go once in the day and only for pee... Its my first baby so i dont have any experience with potty training. I stopped forcing her and will wait until she is ready.. Thank god she only starts school at 5 lolll... We have another year to learn😁

Yes!!!!! My daughter is going to be 4 in August and I am having trouble potty training her. She goes pee sometimes but only because I make her but like your daughter, 5 minuets later she will pee in the living room, or poop in her room. Soooooo frustrating!! I get so upset with her. I just want this to be over already!

My daughter is going to be 4 in August as well. I'm having the exact same challenges as you ladies. I am sure she is more than capable to do it, just wants to irritate me. She can potty train me if she wanted to! I am not even going to try for a few days to give myself a break from this mission impossible!

My son will also be 4 at the end of august and is "scared to death" of the toilet...he was saying he will "fall in"..all the smaller toilets are "play toilets" and he has always refused to use them. Home depot has a new soft close toilet seat which is made by Bemis which is the (next step 2) series that has a built in small toilet seat that sits flush with the regular seat and magnetically stays stuck to the lid when not in use..just bought it to give it a try.

Update. It took awhile, but we finally have victory with my daughter peeing in the potty daily. No pee accidents. Poop is next on the list. Doctor says she is constipated. I still think that it is stubbornness. Stays clean and dry at night time. Took years to do, but finally happening.

My son is 3 1/2 and it’s been a battle. We haven’t be able into get him to use the potty. I am trying my best. Just like you I have used every trick and advice given. They say it will just click. My daughter was trained at 2. She was a breeze. My son, seems to be more difficult. Thanks for the honesty.

I'm crying reading kids can go over 5 years old to not be able to potty train... Because my daughter is 3years 7months and still on pull up's... I wait until she is about to poop and take her quick to sit down on the potty and she stops. I even gave her prune juice and make her sit... Nothing happens... But as soon as I let her stand she runs behind the curtain to poop and pee in her pull up's.

She refuses she is terrified of it no matter what reward I try and I have tried not to pressure her she just keeps saying no mommy I'm a baby I'm the baby she has no desire to be a big girl at all its bizzare to me she sees me go everytime I go I've explained it so many ways have tried sooo many things but still nothing

Oh and she'll say I need a diaper I need diaper change when I have her without bottoms and I'll put her on she will hold it she held it one day from when she woke up until 4pm with 3 1/2 supplies she hurt as soon as I caved she peed and now she will even put a pull up on herself if I wouldn't do it I'm so frustrated I don't know how to get her to want to go she has a candy jar a chart stickers a bubble machine all kinds of rewards its exhausting

@@AmandaPerez11 😢my daughter does not understand what "if you use the potty I will give you a candy" she just want the candy right away. I had her run around with nothing on for 3 hours, she did nothing. And asked for a diaper when she had enough. I even tried the jealous trick to have her 4 month old brother pretending to be sitting on her potty... I even dropped fake poop inside and called her over... She cried saying "it's mine..." but still wouldn't use it herself. I sent her to take a nap and she pooped in her pull up's. I might get a garbage ticket if I keep sending her pooped diaper in garbage loll 3 year old poop is no different from a grown up lol. I have to put on a face mask and one glove and got Glad bags just for her. Please Lord help us!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing this. My LO knows perfectly well how to use the potty and wipe. She'll randomly do it when she is in the mood. Otherwise she refuses to do so. She is extremely stubborn and has decided she wants to be a baby again. Sigh. We're currently doing bare bottom around the house. Wish us luck!

Our daughter pees on the potty all the time. She refused to poop. She even knows exactly where to go and why and how. But she will literally just play until she poops her pants. It's so freaking frustrating. Esp with me being 9 months pregnant. I'm tired of cleaning the shit from everywhere and she wants to run away. We have literally tried so many ways and tips. And she'll still poop in her panties. Argh.

My daughter was 3.5 when she finally potty trained, As full time working mom it was so frustrating! Now my son turned 3 and same struggle… he can’t start preschool because teachers won’t change diapers, they’re not licensed for it, so my husband is stuck with him at home until he can be fully trained. He can’t work until then… it’s 😞 so frustrating.

I m on day 3 and I am about loose my mind. He pooped in toilet first two days, and popped and peed on the floor today all day. He doesn’t want to seat on the toilet chair anymore. He will not go on chair if I prompt but hold it and then poo on the sofa or floor. Two years old and doesn’t talk at all. I am soo frustrated.

I thought I was the only one going through this my daughter just turned five. And yes five before people judge I have done everything I can in my power to encourage her to use the potty now she does pee but she just won’t poop. Doctor is aware and says when she’s comfortable enough she will go. But that’s not the answer I want to hear lol I feel horrible it just sucks

Talk about frustration. I started crying, watching videos, googling, asking people. My son is 4yrs months. He can pee when I take him there but will not poop. He also can't just go on his own. I have also tried different methods. He started pre k yesterday and they called me to come change him when he peed because according to their policy they can't touch him unless he's special needs. He doesn't really communicate but he's verbal. No body has given me any diagnosis. I feel helpless. I can't have a job now nor go to school because they can call me at any time to come change him. The only good thing is that I live 4 minutes away. You're not alone. I'm losing my mind

You are so not alone!! My daughter who is also around the same age as yours (3yrs4mos now) has also never peed on the potty. I don't know why she is scared to do so. She would have tantrums if she doesn't wear her diapers. I have also tried to train her you know, with the half-naked method and all, but she would just hold her pee in until she can't anymore, which I think makes her more scared. I know that every child has their own pace in this and all, but I totally understand that we mommas become impatient for them, and that's what's frustrating! Hahaha, please let me know if you manage to do it. I'm also losing my mind. More powers, momma! x

You a have so much patience, I commend you for that. My fuse gets so short 😂 my daughters ready I know she is and she has used hers when I wasn’t even there but I’ve held of doing the whole potty training as I know because she is strong minded she will be the same as your daughter so I’m waiting for the summer so can get her in the garden with the potty 😂 to save my furniture as I do not have your patience. It's not easy, that's for sure. It took us over two years to train our daughter. She is five now. It was getting embarrassing the older she was getting.

I did finally get her trained. It was so difficult. I had to be the “mean” mom and start taking away toys. I felt bad but it made her motivated to get them back. I’m struggling with my second now. She hides when she has to go so sometimes it’s obvious and other times you miss it and don’t figure it out until you step in pee 😩

She has used the potty a bunch but now will lie to my face when I ask of she needs to go and then pee all over the floor or the couch... my son is 2 and no problem... I almost feel like it's because shes the oldest and theyre so close in age she doesn't want to loose baby status.

My daughter is 2y2m and this honestly freaked me out😭I love how honest this video is but it scares me to think that this is what I’ll go through. I tried potty training a little after she turned 18m because she was interested in the potty and going when we went and she got to the point to where she would let me know when she had to go but then suddenly stopped. And now I’ve been trying for about 3 weeks and at first she would let me know right after she would pee but only when she was in pull ups or training underwear, but now she refuses to go even when she’s not in diapers, she just pees and poops in her underwear. She wouldn’t poop unless she had a diaper on and now she poop in her diaper, pull up, and training underwear

Two thirds of the way through your video. It is 3 years later. Did you eventually solve this problem? In a similar situation with my daughter right now. She can hold it in for about 12 hours. Worried about her health at this stage, she has been eating less and drinking less to avoid having to go to the potty. It has been two weeks.

I know this is old but mines 4 and does not care about pooping in the potty. He’s being held back in daycare because he’s not fully potty trained. He was trained to pee but then started to have more and more accidents. Now we are back to square one.

Girls are more stubborn. Well, in my experience. My daughter would not go on the toilet. She would sit on potty, and then get up, and go in her training pants. Right after. Some girls do that. I don't know why. It is a control thing I am guessing. Yes, I have experienced a child this stubborn! I even tried the three day method. But if they insist on not going on the potty, it is time to try psychological tricks, like stars and candy, etc., etc.

My first potty trained so fast at age 22 mo. My second, my daughter, is so so stubborn and I totally understand your frustration! I find what works is watching kids potty videos on RU-vid then she can see and hear other little kids doing it and cartoons doing it. It helps if I doesn’t come from me. Also he’s has a friend a similar age and I had her mom do FaceTime so she could see her friend go pee in the potty, and then she wanted to do it. Sounds weird but desperation calls for desperate measures. Hugs. Hope it’s going better for you.

My parents are struggling to potty train the almost 3 year old: will be 3 in 2 months time. Not that he won’t use the potty! Its for a different problem. When he is running around hit naked he does just fine: he pees in the potty, poops in the potty, tells someone when he needs to go…he does amazing it’s a dream. But as soon as we put him in underwear or pull ups or diaper or anything…he goes in his pants. Does this mean that he’s ready to be potty trained or just wait a little bit longer.

I’m glad I’m not the only one struggling potty training a 3 year old... my mother in law keeps bringing it up to my husband how our daughter is still in diapers when so and so kid’s were potty trained by 2 and it worries him then he ends up stressing me out and putting all the pressure on me to have her potty trained ASAP 😩

Hello. My daughter and I started potty training my grandbaby. She was doing good for 2 weeks. My daughter went out to the mall and my grandbaby said she had to go pee pee, so my daughter took her to the bathroom and sat her down on the big toilet and she refused to go. Oh my I’m sorry! It’s so stressful! It took forever for us. We ended up using a potty watch to remind her to go. She did have a fear of the big potty which she ended up getting over in her own time. Just keep trying. Kids are stubborn 😩

Omg my son is 3 and we have the same problem. He will not pee or poop in the potty. We tried both a potty chair and a small toilet seat but none of these worked so far. We stripped him naked with only a shirt on, we set timer for every 20’ and gave him a lot of water. He would not go in the potty. He cried, kicked and screamed. Then he tried to hold it until he couldn’t anymore and he pee on the floor and every time that happened he cried. We were so stressed and frustrated it a point I was crying because don’t know what else can we do. Well at least now I know we are not alone in this . We plan to try again next week but I don’t have high hope at all.

It’s rough. Honestly with my other two I waited until 4 years old then put them in undies and that was it. They never had issues and had enough control that the switch worked on try 1. I wasn’t going through this chaos again lol. People judged me but when you deal with kids as stubborn as yours and mine, they’ll just never understand.

My mom told me that she would help me when he is three years old. He doesn't know how to say pee pee or poo yet. I may have to really do this but he has gotten on the toilet seat and I told him to wash his hands before this. I still got to train him how to take off his pants. Another good thing is I'm letting him wear underwear so he can get use to the material

Have you tried flipping her around so she can draw on the toilet lid with a Dry erase marker. We had issues with this too and still do. I think they will learn the need to pee once they are on it so they can get back to what they are doing quicker

Pooping was a huuuuuuge problem for us. She’s potty trained now but she’ll hold her poop in so she doesn’t have to go. We can tell she’s trying so hard to hold it. If we put her on she’ll go but if we don’t catch it she’ll poop her pants. It took a very long time to get her to go. She’s 3 years and 7 months and only started going about a month ago. Don’t stress! You’re doing a great job!

Dawned Harsh well my cousin is 3 years old and she doesn't go on the potty when she has no nappy on she asks for it to go back on so she can pee but we kind of gave up because she has fractured her arm twice so we are gonna a wait until she has no cast on

Get a child's seat on the toilet with seat belt and tray with a couple of toys, and leave her sit. For boys, let daddy pee in the toilet and let him watch. Boys will do what daddy does.
