How did you mod the 50 20, i just bought one yesterday anx really wanting to wake it up and get the best out of it. Going to be cutting lots of fire wood soon. Never moded a poulan i had the old green one from walmart last about 10 years with out mods and it was my fault because i forgot it on the top of the load and it decided at 45mph that it wanted to jump off lol
The low kickback chains just need some filing and they are good again haha I can't stand the low kickback chains so I take the rakers down a good bit compared to the tooth I like a chain to bite not lightly massage the tree haha 😀
Love to know your thoughts on running low ash TCw3 oils in air cooled 2 strokes given your background and Do you think going to 30 thou gap on the plug stresses the coil? Thanks Dustin
I am very luke warm on TC-W oils in air cooled engines, particularly in medium to large HP chainsaws. I made oils for Stihl, Husky, Poulan,Shindaiwa, Wal Mart et. al. And none wanted ashless ad packs. The hotter the engine, higher the load, the better the calcium additive packs perform vs nitrogen based water cooled packs. TC-W oils likely run just fine in blowers, weed eaters etc. API TC is not a high performance test rating for air cooled engines.
@@shaffersmallengineshop5957 You should put out a detailed video on 2 stroke oils and grades and the differences. There is alot of confusion on 2 stroke oil.
@@shaffersmallengineshop5957 only thing i did was drill a half inch hole in the front of the exaust and 6 holes in by the air filter and jesus it made one hell of a difference
