Amazingly played, I am a bassoonist and this is one of the best sounds I've ever heard come from a bassoon.

The interest of Poulenc for wind isnstruments can be heard in this excellent and so typical trio. Outstanding peformance.

The nostalgic bittersweet of Poulenc mixed with his incredibly forward thinking of the totality of beauteous sound seems apt for these twisted times (2020) in which we are all caught in a state of nostalgia and hope for constructing a beautiful future, even if it cannot be based on the old tonalities we used to console ourselves with.

POulenc always loved the wind instruments. Here, we have an original trio with oboe and bassoon. Brillant rendition.

The more of Poulenc's output I hear, the more interest and satisfaction I find. Thoroughly pleasing - both the music and the performance. You can't have one without the other. Bravo!

I totally agree with Mr. Yiengst; the more I hear Poulenc the more I like his music. He doesn't seem to have composed anything mediocre or boring. Gabe Meruelo.

An absolutely stunning performance of one of my favorite pieces. (My husband is a bassoonist!) Style, intonation, articulation, and musicality are spot on! I wish the videographer had a better angle when showing the bassoon. That microphone! They really expressed the charm of Poulenc’s Neoclassical style.

Sick jam. I sure love to do my daily dab to this in the wee hours of the morning. Reminds me that we're all human even if some of us seem like lizard people on the outside.

The person who shot the video is what messed everything up. The bassoonist and oboist were awesome, but the videographer didn't capture their best moments. The pianist was clearly on a different wave-length than the bassoonist and oboist. Nevertheless, it didn't really matter because the videographer didn't even capture what the pianist was trying to convey. In the end, the page turner became the featured performer because what he did and what he was supposed to do were consistent.

A very very good performance of one of the masterpieces in music history. 3rd movement is too rushed... pity, but still a great performance.

Truly great woodwind playing... piano playing clean and accomplished but mannered in a couple spots. I don't understand why the 3rd movement had to be so rushed.

I can totally understand that. think they were just too excited...whenever my group performs Poulenc pieces we always get too hyper.

The pianist creates the backbone of the music here. And a bad one makes Poulenc sound trivial, whereas Sigfridsson lifts the music on its wings.
