I think he's contender for 2nd too but we will see how the rest of the year goes

Leo spargo gluto light are the obvious top 4. marss playing like he did at genesis is at least #5 but right now I’d say the fifth spot goes to zomba believe it or not

@@showmeyourmoves8551 kola? Marss is 3-1 in sets against kola with more major wins and experience. Dabuz can definitely be argued though if we’re counting marss as inconsistent. However, I said he was top 5 if he plays like at genesis which is feasible

@@AJAXHQ you da man. Always a treat when you commentate. I came back to watch this again a few months later. As someone who’s just getting back into smash it’s cool to hear you because not only is it always entertaining but the game knowledge is top tier.

Game 4 Leo isn't really a thing anymore tbh

He was top ten at worst always

The nerfs did hurt wario a bit. Full waft usage don't connect sometimes after up tilt or up air. But the half waft is still good.

Bon la performance de gluto dans ce match n'est pas à redire ça c'est sur gg a lui il a était tout simplement meilleur . Par contre mkleo on va pas se mentir il a était mauvais sur ce set (par mauvais j'entends pas à sont niveau habituel) ça reste mon avis

@@zobaldu34 Je suis d'accord c'est pas du grand MK on l'a connu plus foudroyant mais avant glutto même avec un MK Léo moyen il n'arrivait pas à faire la diff. Là il a progressé ça se voit. Psychologiquepent le Genesis 8 a débloquer l'ultra instinct qui l'avais en lui.

As usual the fanboys saying Leo didn’t play his best. He fucking did. He played the best he could right here and now. So you’re saying he was sandbagging? Gluto played better that’s how it goes.

It wasn't exactly the same combo because he uses fair and not the Nair 1 which is a lot more consistent and more easy to do and it still a cool combo

Byleth is a better match up for Wario than joker. MKleo just got outplayed this particular set

It's hard to tell but he probably wouldn't be much worse, and he would absolutely need a secondary because wario without waft just get bodied by some matchups. Waft evens the odds. In this set it seems that waft is super broken (and it is) but hitting as many as gluto did is very rare. Check his set against Sonix, he barely hits any.

In the end it's dependant on the matchups, some characters get comboed into waft really easily and others tend to fall out a lot making the confirms unreliable and waft less good.

Wario kill options are not that great without waft. It’s like just bair dash attack and laggy smash attacks while as you can see half of Byleths moves kill wario. Taking waft from wario is like taking arsene from joker

What you have to remember is that Wario is balanced with Waft in mind. He’s a strong character, but *WITH* Waft he’s never considered to be in the Top 10 and many pro player tier lists have him outside of Top Tier entirely. Waft is the best move of his kit for sure and completely changes the dynamic of many matchups, but calling it a “crutch” isn’t quite right; would you call Byleth’s Up-B a crutch? It secures almost as many early stocks and is more central to Byleth’s game plan than Waft is to Wario’s. What about Cloud’s back air or Limit? Diddy’s Banana? Fox’s Up Smash? Etc etc etc

@@Zorua3 I Can see that argument. Idk to me it just looked like as soon as it was last stock, Leo was permanently in disadvantage because anything can kill. It’s almost as if he was playing the game with a stock disadvantage to start. I think there was a disconnect as to what I meant as a crutch. I feel like Leo does rely on the Downtilt into up air and things like that can seem like a crutch. I meant it more as like a wario player essentially only needs to get 2 stocks before they get three stocked for a win.
