It sounds like me and my spaniel before the vet banned him from having them! Because he has them in his mouth all the time we walk thro our forest - the sand and grit caught in the fluff has worn his 4 large curved teeth down to flat surfaces!! He's now on solid rubber balls only. Keep an eye on your voice, Helen. About 15 yrs ago I was diagnosed with "teachers voice". Gruff and croaky on and off with occasional total loss. No pain. Then it became more frequent and prevented me from using phones at work. I had some investigations, and they found a slow growing benign lump on one vocal chord. It was removed and no problem since apart from I can't sing anymore. I only used to sing along in the car but it's impossible now. Looking fwd to the next time you let us peek into your life. Fair play to you. Could never do the roughing it either. The thought of it even though my children all did it and still go to concerts and camp. Couldn’t do it. Love all the bits and bobs. When You say it’s for the caravan I have to smile as I know I would be at the exact same thing buying for the caravan. It’s making life easier when you have all the bits and bobs handy. Enjoy every minute of it. I am just back this morning from Albuferia and my husband was complaining about the heat welll he won’t be complaining about the heat in Donegal but the rain wasn’t taking time to rain it was lashing from the heavens. I am sitting here wondering what can I eat as we were dining out for the last week. I can’t be bothered to do the shopping but unless I head out there will be no dinner

I agree with you, Helen! My husband and I had a fifth wheel camper. We were off to the campsite to live “simply.” He simply sat by the camp fire. I still prepared food, cleaned the bathroom, did dishes, broomed sand or leaves out of the camper. When I go away on vacation I expect life to become easier! We sold the fifth wheel 😊.

SLS. Sodium lauryl sulphate. It’s a degreaser to make things foam, cos that’s what we like to see. 🤪 Also takes the grease out of your scalp/skin. Parabens help to extend shelf life but have been found in cancer cells. It’s worth looking at the ingredients of stuff. Even Simple!! Sorry to sound like a knowall but I learned about this stuff some years ago when I was involved with an eco-friendly company. I have to be careful because I have sensitive/dry skin. X

Great to see you for an update. Completely agree, who wants to rough it if you don’t have to. Luxury every time in my book. Glad the back problem has cleared up, that’s pretty miserable if it continues. I spent a rainy afternoon clearing out my wardrobe and only binned 3 things before I put everything back !!!!!! However, I have grouped outfits together and my plan is to wear a different outfit everyday (instead of the same repeats)and if I don’t really love it, it’s going in the charity bag. Do you think it’s obvious that I am retired with plenty of time on my hands 😂 I love it x

Another great video, love your chat. Liking containers….. my husband loves a container, if it has a lid, he keeps it. Grandkids love it….he was an electrician before he retired and many’s the time we have been glad of his collection for a screw or a nail etc xxx

The whole time when I was little our family camped in the Rocky Mountain National Forest and I loved it. We stayed in our tent and they did have restrooms but no showers. Always loved that! The designs were nice and I thought could make nice cushion covers using different, segments of the material. One day I will use my sewing machine!

Camping trip sounds great! We went camping with my parents and siblings right through my childhood we had a huge tent with 2 bedrooms and all the kitchen stuff cooker on a stand sadly no fridge in those days but we had great times lots of lovely memories of my dear parents ❤. I would like to do it again but l would have to do it 5* as l like my creature comforts too much now 😊. Enjoy your family caravan trip xxx

Hi Helen. So glad your back is feeling better now. When my husband and I first met, our dream was to have a motor home and travel around Europe but sadly our finances were way lower than the dream!! We used to go camping with our tent and just the bare essentials but these days, there’s no way I could go without some of my creature comforts I’m afraid. The spirit is willing but the body doth protest!!😂 I think a caravan with a few luxuries included sounds great and I’m sure it will be a fun trip with Bertha and the family. 💖🌸

Oo i think you might find thst your bright yellow blanket might attract & get covered in loads of little flies like the thunder flies. They just love yellow. I had a yellow car & it was always coveredin them!!!

Oh Helen. Backache is awful 😢. I have a dodgy lower back so have to be careful. I did Pilates for the first time today and loved 🥰 it. It’s meant to be good for your core etc. I need to try the Ace stuff you’ve got. 😊. Poundland is good, but think they need to change the name lol 😂 as most things are more than that. I need a wipe clean tablecloth. ❤ Yes, my little girl Isabelle is 10 -same age as Hattie and she loves swimming. She’s not bothered about a lot of exercises. She used to do dancing but got fed up 😮. Well another great video with great ideas. I totally agree about not roughing it, we have a touring van and I will only stay on fully serviced pitches I want to be able to use my own shower not trek up to the shower block in my dressing gown! I always try to get adult only unless our grandchildren come along I find them so peaceful. Im now going to look up this concierge I’ve never heard of them, my husband will be rolling his eyes he keeps saying it’s not camping, but like you I want no less than what I’ve got at home. So will let you know if we get booked up 😊

Your Glamping Holiday sounds Fantastic Helen. I hear your Mom about camping. It's an opportunity to show the kids and remind yourself that yes you can survive in the great outdoors without a dishwasher..a dining room..a TV etc. You never know one day they may need those skills and they will remember that their Grandparents taught them to survive no matter what. For you just a refresher course. However just this one time Do It Up. What a time you all will have. Fabulous. Liked your shopping and the prices are so good. Prices here are super expensive and the national average is around $500.00 Cdn. Dollars for one person for one month. How many quid that is I'm thinking around 350-375 quid a month for one person. Bread is 3.25 quid a loaf approximately. Weather is extraordinary with temps. Between 29-30 degrees. Cannot complain. You look wonderful.

I agree wholeheartedly about roughing it although fair play to those who enjoy camping that way. Each to their own... SLS is Sodium Laureth Sulphate, a foaming agent. Milk-shake make a really good purple shampoo without any nasties, and color wow color security shampoo is good for leaving your scalp moisturised and non itchy.
