@@ike___love You can most def spray it off the same day, just wait extra long and bring a pressure washer if needed! Do not get on it early, it looks terrible if rocks pop. So yeah just wait extra long and spray it on a few times as u r waiting. Bring your pressure washer and a broom and maybe a wire brush. You will always be able to get the cream off. But you can never put rocks back on. Btw plz watch my premiere tonight at 8pm
I've never done exposed before but man that looked really nice!! Looking forward to more "how to..." videos. you know what you're doing, im still trying to learn!
4 show 4 show! Glad to see u in the comment section, I got some cool stuff planned 4 this winter on some videos as soon as these fools take off this bracelet lol
I seen guys on trowel machines spill thier coke or beer an have trouble with that little patch..... I learnt to do it with sugar,,, then the big company come in with ,,, reveal an other products, but sugar gives a nicer expose...

Is it true or false that working concrete makes your teeth break and fallout over time. Something about the concrete dust coating your teeth while you work and it hardens then chips your teeth?
It’s great to see someone who is an actual construction worker, dose this day in day out rather than some handyman who have no idea but thinks they can give advice. Thanks for the D.P. Tip
For sure! Yeah we do alot of exposed agg! Dp works great for it, but not other type of exposing like sand finish! Just for exposed aggregate! I appreciate the comment!
Right on man, I almost used suger like u said, but I couldn't remember the exact measurements and I had used Dr pepper b4 and never super, the Dr pepper worked better than retarder
well we washed er the next day i did another set of round exposed agg steps that turned out pretty good here is a link, it is a more in debth guide of how we do it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b4SPPxKD0fk.html
1st off thanks 4 watching, 2ndly, as far as the pressure washer, it was poured in the fall time w 4000 psi concrete. anytime I do exposed agg, I start w just the hose and a broom, depending on what time of the year and time of the day its poured depends on if u need a pressure washer. I didn't need it on this 1, but I do have another exposed agg video that I used a pressure washer on, ita a nice set of steps. I will send u a link. appreciate the view and the like!!! those likes really help my channel
I charged 2k for the patio and steps, I'm gona get u a t-shirt I'm ordered some, I'd like to get your help on some videos. I know u r creative. R u still sober
It has so much suger in regular DR. PEPPER That it slows down the set time. Qhen we cover w plastic it keep the top creamy and we then wash it off the next morning where we painted on the DR PEPPER. Put alot on and if its hot wash the same day. W no plastic. Juat keep putting dr pep on it for a few hours and keep checking it
You need not use traditional expansion material along the building. In that case its only being used as a mechanical break between the slab and the building. You only need to keep the concrete from keying into the brick so the slab can move up and down. I use 5" rips of plasic laminate (such as formica). Works great and you dont even know its there. Your work looks great.
Those steps look realy good. I have no clue about what differrent floats there are. I know what the hand held and Bull Floats look like. Just not the names. My Granddad always did his own, and the Porch I am going to repair, was one he did 30 years ago. The front pourch is so smooth, when it rains, you have to be careful. I am nervous I'll mess it up, but I am taking your advice and ripping it out, and redoing it. I do know how to mix my own, just from helping my granddad. But, I am learning from your channel, how to actually work it. Thanks Bro! Keep up the great job, and please keep this helpfull Videos coming! I learn from watching, and your channel has really helped me.
I get the retarder is what exposed the agg obviously, but what makes it do that? And is it just the top layer being affected by the retarder is that why it's brushed on?
@@GRUBB-MUDD i learned that from an ol' time concrete carpenter who alleges, "I've kicked more mud off my boots than you've poured in your life!" So it must be true lol, but seriously, it does work
nah we just dabbed the brush in dr pepper in a bucket. then we bruched it only on the borders. yeah i thought it was pretty slick. thanks bro. follow along!!!
I read the comments on this video, but no one mentioned what kind of float you use? Is it wood or plastic? Please answer me ! How long did you leave the concrete after you leveled it before you applied Dr Peeper?
@@GRUBB-MUDD awesome craft, didn’t know anything about it until I started watching easy money. He just gave you an amazing plug in his most recent video. Keep it up dude.
Beautiful brother! Well done! I’m just starting out in the trade and love watching videos like this. I have a job coming up that calls for exposed Ag so I’m schooling myself beforehand. This is a great video to get an idea. When you call up for Mud is there anything other than normal that you call for? Any help would be greatly appreciated man. Thanks.
