This car is awesome! White with blue accents is nice on here. While my favorite z28 is the 1969 z28, this one is still nice looking, love the z28 side banners on this version.
Always love the car from this era, love the front & tail light, so subtly fierce yet sporty enough. Dreamt of owning one when watching Kris Monroe driving the convertible version in Charlie's Angels, S5, the Hawaiian episodes..
Loved this car when it came out. Best I could do in those go-go 70s-80s was a '77 TransAm with the Olds 403 motor, automatic and 2.41 axle. Last Pontiac on the lot, got it for under sticker($6400 back then). Great highway cruiser. Decent fuel mileage(18-19 mpg) on trips.
I had a '80 Z-28, white with the blue trim back in the mid to late 80's. I absolutely loved that car. It had the automatic trans and I used to love to see the little induction flaps open when I really hit it. That car flew on the highway and I will admit that I did leave a few black patches on the roads as well. I was in my 20's so, ya, whatever. The gas mileage was almost bad enough to warrant towing a gas pump behind me, though, so I finally decided I had to give her up. I t was a very sad moment in my life to watch her go. I wish I still had that car. It was in great shape when I had her.
My mom had an '80 Z28 4pd, Carnival Pearl white with the tri-tone red stripes. She was looking for a white and blue one like this but found the other one first. I've owned a '78 Type LT with factory 350/TH350 and an '81 Sport Coupe with a 6.6 400/TH400. Some day I'll get an '80-'81 Z28 with a stick, it's been my dream car since I saw pics of the one my mom had. Sad to hear yours is getting parked for a while but at least you still have it! Take care of her man!
I like the old-school look myself everybody's going and putting these newer Motors in and big wheels I like the old look myself wide tires the back raked up 350 with a 4-speed the way it was in 79 that's the way I like them nice ride man
Love your car. I can tell you from experience, don't ever sell it, you will never forgive yourself. Oh, but if you ever decide you want to sell lol.... I'm looking for a 4-speed Z28- hard to come by.
Great car, I'm building a 79 4-speed can now. Updating to a 6.0 LS motor and a T56 6-speed. The car is Carmine now and I'm thinking about changing the color
Please 🙏 what are you did it perfect you you are the beefed-up - 350 motor you got in there you do good work keep it just like that brother the rims and all you got a badass car forget that pie 53 crap they're cool 😎 you got a badass car keep it old school all respect.
I used to own that exact same car, same color, brand new condition etc....that is until that fateful rainy night i hopped a curb and smashed through some guys fence. I am still crying...
Pulling up on the Audi and just knowing "yeah I'm cooler than you'll ever be" is one of the reasons I want a Camaro exactly like this literally the only thing id change is put ansen sprint wheels on it but even the ones on it are great
Great car and great vid. I was that spoiled kid whose Dad bought a brand new 1979 Z for high school graduation. I lived it, and drove the snot out of that car.
I have the N90's (original 15in honeycomb's) but grew up watching second gens on circle track running blacked out steels and the look really grew on me. also better tires in 17in...
I'm from the UK- although never owned a camaro (only 67 thunderbird 20 year ago) both we like the Camaro so much; we named our daughter Camaro. Wanted a car name for her porsche and Mercedes are awful girl names
Surprised you haven't bent the crumple zones shutting the hood like that, unless you actually did push back before pushing down and the camera didnt catch it.
Those wheels ruin the look of the car. No 1980 car should ever have black wheels. And as black wheels go, those are some of the ugliest I've seen. They are also completely the wrong size. Please get some correct or at least closer to correct wheels on that machine, it would look so much better!
