We are done with forestry and we stack the last of firewood for drying. As every day, we mix TMR for our small herd of dairy cows.

Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M. We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.

No, its more like self-regenerative, we remove old trees to make space for younger ones

What's the reason for locking all the cows up in the self locks? I have self locks as well but I only lock them up if I need them for something like AI or when the vet comes for herd health.

Its medium sized, there's still a lot of smaller farms.

I just only saw a small bit of land, but it looks like the grass grows well already. Here in The Netherlands it starts to dry up and the grass starts to grow too. Most land is still too wet to work. I really like your cows. They seem sturdy, well built cows with nice utters. Take care.

Yes the grass started early this year but the ground is a bit too wet here too. Yeah they seem to fit our farm pretty well 😁
