As a South Carolina resident I loved her when she was at USC. Always seemed like a great person. I am glad she is in on a competitive team now. She is used to winning so I’m sure last year on the Fever was hard for her.

I remember watching the UConn girls dominate for as long as they did and think to myself, how was the world not on fire with these girls?! How is everybody not so excited about them? If you slowed down your movements it becomes much more difficult and effective! Your shoulder presses could be broken down into two part; one, don’t bend your knees while extending your arms upwards. This will benefit your arms more ; harder to lift. And the other one doing it with your whole body but increasing your weight because basically you’re cheating lifting with your whole body plus momentum to lift the weight. This does mimic your shooting motion, so it’s good, but doesn’t force your arms, by themselves, to become stronger. Doing pushups on a hand stance against a wall would probably benefit you more since you are strengthening your body’s muscles to carry your own weight. Doing “ Bruce Lee pushups” would benefit you a lot! I mean starting with your hands at you chest and gradually opening them to your sides till you end up with your arms extended like a cross. And also starting at your chest and gradually moving your hands up above your head and also moving them towards your waist. This will strengthen your arms when you extend them away from your body; pushing or pulling players close to you. You know that we are weaker as we extend our arms or legs away from our torso. So this push ups will strengthen your arms when you extend them from your body as you jostle for position or control your opponents movements. It takes a lot of work but it has a lot of benefits. My best friend could bench press over 350 lbs but couldn’t do some pushups that I could do and when I played I could control my opponents without “straining “ to do so; it just looked like I was gently extending my arms. My simple advice.
