that feeling of accomplishment, content, but also sadness. you finished guiding one generation of children and the next ones are coming your way. i bet it’s hard when you get attached to some of the kids

Last year, after all the students left, my teacher sat down at her desk, looked around the room a few times, and started bawling her eyes out. I know this because me and my friend and I had just left to go get her flowers, and we were coming right back. When we came back, she was in tears. Something I'll never forget. Very wholesome
I wanted to bawl my eyes out when I gave my favorite teacher a hug and a few friends who are leaving. 😭 they all said very kind things and I just wanted to cry
when school ended this year, we all wrote messages on our history teacher's whiteboard. i went back into his room to say goodbye to him and saw him just staring at the whiteboard smiling. it was a very wholesome moment.
School ends for me in 4 days- I’m kinda sad but also so happy that I will finally be able to move onto the next chapter of my life. Can’t believe the time flew by so fast!! I’m gonna miss my teachers :(
Today was my last day of my school. This was my favorite teacher I’ve ever had and I stayed ten minutes after the bell just thinking of how to say goodbye. She started crying and I went home, ran to my room and started crying too. I miss that teacher so much and it have been 2 hours. Edit: thank you for all the likes and supports, I’ve never gotten even 100, but 420?! (Nice lol) Edit 2: I really appreciate all the nice reply’s, but don’t worry, everything us ok now! @jak Me too this year! She wasn’t going to be there the last day of school so the day before I stayed after the bell and gave her a letter I wrote. She ended up giving me a hug and I started bawling. I’ve been thinking about so many more things I wish I would’ve said but I cried for days
Aww, I remember this feeling. Taught kindergarten for 10 years. Now my first kindergarten class I ever had are graduated and on to begin their lives. I'm still a proud kindergarten teacher of every one of my students.
@AubreeMitchell-wo7ns It could be 10 years anytime. 2000-2010, 2004-2014, whatever. They didn't say it has NOW been 10 years, but they said it has in total been 10. Meaning they either retired or whatever the person above said
we just finished sixth grade today and whenever I was waving goodbye to my teachers, I saw my orchestra teacher. that man was crying and for some reason when he saw me, he cheered up and waved. that's how you know being a teacher is tough 😭😭😭 edit: yes, I know it's their job to have the old, and the new. they can get used to it. but take my ELA teacher and me. she knows about my family drama I know about hers, and we just know each other, ALOT. and so we had a strong bong. but only because she had us for so long, we had to leave. she cried. being a teacher is tough. only because you get strong bonds with students. omg so many people were like ‘ why does it matter? you’ll still visit…’ to me on my last day of 6th ever. (which was 4 days ago obv) and i freaking cried sm bc all my teachers ever since kinder were visiting our classes (all of 6th) it DOES matter. these people have been with me since i was 5 and made such a big impact on me. they made a slideshow of us since kinder like fr a slideshow of all our momentos. i’m going to miss them…..
@@skyp2358 it's true, the impact is either on the teachers, or the students. the students who had the best ELA teacher, made her cry. when we were on the bus riding away we were all like "Bye Ms. Mulkey!!!" and she began to cry, knowing that her students will miss her and will truly love her. Being the student is knowing that your safe classroom is gone, you need to move on. it will be tough.
Teachers should not be taken for granted. They guide and influence their students, sometimes they even become therapists lol. Honestly, myself and many others believe teachers should be payed more. Thank you, to all the teachers in the world 🥰
I just finished my senior year a few days ago. I was bawling my eyes out as soon as I walked out those doors. I'll definitely miss all the great memories
As a person who always hated school, I’m actually sad that school is almost over (or already over for some people). The memories I had while experiencing this school year, all the teachers I had (which they were all really nice), all the funniness and happiness of school, and more. All that just makes me feel sad because I had fun experiencing all of this and I don’t want this happiness to go. Especially since the Summer is like 3 months. It’s like everything will be gone. Even the exact classroom(s) you were in will be gone because you might not be stepping foot in your classroom(s) again. I really am going to miss school.
❤❤❤tbh that’s how the students feel, I graduated 8th grade this year, and I was so sad to leave middle school but so proud of myself for getting through it. I am looking forward to high school next year, but middle school will always have a special place in my heart, so it’s a bittersweet feeling for sure

This sound omg. This week is my last week of freshman year. I have had an amazing year. Im honestly so sad for it to be over. I made so many friends, made the cheer team, passed all my classes, and had amazing teachers. Honestly Im so sad!
I had this amazing teacher who taught me kindergarten and 1st grade. But sadly in 2nd grade, she stood teaching 1st. She knew me until I made it to 4th grade. She retired when u bit 4th grade. She asked me every day how was school. Cause I go outside and then wait for my mom to come (it's called a walker it's like a way of getting home) and it was nice. I miss her sm she was a great teacher. Thanks, Miss Holly u were amazing.
I cried when I got home… cause I’ll never see some of my favorite teachers again and my bsf 🥺💔 she moved without telling us and blocked all of us… this is the second time that happened to me but hopefully she takes good care of herself and always know that I’ll miss her ❤😢

This made me cry for some reason!! I used to work in the learning centre at a school and when I left, all the kids were crying and I got the biggest card I could’ve imagined. Saddest day of my life.
Now days it's like a fresh breath of fresh air for both workers and students considering some people who go there don't get to experience making it to the last day of school 😔 RIP
I remember my teacher cried a lot when we graduated. It was our last day of highschool and we all fought to have her as the one giving us our diploma. We had her as our geography teacher since we were 14 and although we hated each other some winter mornings and my classmates would sometimes argue with her we all loved her. One of the strictest teachers there was and everyone was always surprised because she was actually our class' favorite teacher when the other students from different years didn't quite like her. I remember hugging her so tight when she gave me my diploma she got emotional and when we all went to greet her she started crying. We loved her and many actually came to see her as a second mother. She thought me so much and in fact I am now studying geography in uni because of her. We all respected her class because she treated everyone fairly and kindly all the time. The older/younger students didn't like her because she was extremely strict and would never forgive you for handing your homework late. No second chances. Even classmates that would struggle in every subject got high scores in her class because she actually cared about you doing better and you wanted to do better because she encouraged you to. You had to commit to your chance without thinking "there's going to be another one after this". I'll never forget one of my classmates who always got bad scores and didn't care about school coming up to me during recess saying "Hey, can you help me study for Ms. Veronica's class? She has tried helping me many times but I feel like I've been wasting her efforts because I wasn't even paying attention to her when she was trying to explain. I want to do good in her class but I am afraid she's a little tired of me at this point. If I do good on the exam maybe she'll be happy for me as well." I miss her a lot, I moved cities because of my uni but I wish I could tell her I'm doing good today. I wonder what kind of students she has today and whether they struggle to like her or if there is another class like ours that loves her and had their lives hanged by her.
when school got out a few days ago, i finished middle school. as i was walking to get my bike, i saw my friend, we said our goodbyes (he was going to a different school and im going to high school), and he left. after he left, i started freaking out and sobbing because he was a good friend and i didnt even have any way of talking to him. i cried again that night just thinking about all my friends i just left.
honestly for how much i hated this year, i'm gonna miss it. im finally leaving the elementary school and going up to the high school (7th) and never going back to elm school.
as a senior who just graduated, there are definitely some teachers that im gonna miss. Had to say goodbye to an art teacher that i’ve had and known for about 3 years and it was definitely hard. Just wanted to say thank you to all the teachers who make a difference by making learning enjoyable

i finished school a few days ago and literally i miss it so much. my school is a 5/6 school and u get split into teams that u stay with for two years with the same teachers a kids. we have all gotten so close to the point that they feel like my siblings sometimes. i loved all my teachers but i will rly miss on how close i was with my team and especially the memories we have made thru the last two years. and obvious i sobbed for hours when i got home.

I spent the last day of school sitting next to my english teacher on a bench, I was in rough times then, and she comforted me, she really helped me alot. Ive had many teachers like her, and i appreciate all of them for being there for the students

I feel like I would cry every year at the end as a teacher. Saying goodbye to my students, they’re getting older and moving onward and having to close that chapter to begin a new one after summer vacation. It’s like having these kiddos you grow and learn with and educate to the best of your ability then they just grow up and you don’t see them as much or at all and all those memories are there with no knowledge of who they’ll become.
The music makes me remember all of my memories in elementary. Before I was took out of school and got home schooled after I graduated 6th. I haven't seen my friends in forever, I miss them a lot. 😢
We got everyone in my school to sign our T-shirts. It's a tradition in our school 🤭. It was really sad. But as we were walking out all the teachers were there clapping in a line. I never felt so much accomplishment but so much sadness.
I had a special bond with my 5th grade teacher. She was my mentor and my inspiration. She's the reason why I want to become a teacher today. I will always cherish those memories.
