I wanna do the lil xc stuff 😅 they can call me a baby all they want. If I ever jump my mare over something higher than 3ft it'll be over a knock-able pole! I do find this stuff hella impressive though. Sometimes I think maybe one day but my goodness do I really want to?
Wow those were jumped beautifully, and those horses are also gorgeous! I laughed so much when she said: “The horse stopped because it’s a tractor.” LMAOO
One of my aunts rode cross country, she's had some pretty bad falls but nothing too serious. She stopped riding when she got pregnant for the first time and never did it again, because she had kids and it's too dangerous when you mught end up in the hospital for a long time and unable to care for your children. But she did miss it and loved watching me ride as I was rehabilitating horses that had gone through hell. I hope she gets back on a horse one day, when her kids are independent enough.
Make sure she starts back at the basics, my mom used to ride horses, but then she quit for a long time. Then a friend from her work asked her if she wanted to go on a trail ride, but she wasn't as experienced as before and during a gallop, her horse either tripped or bolted. My mom fell of and broke her back, she got lucky because she didn't get paralysed and she's fine now. Just make sure that when your aunt starts riding again she relearns the basics first, better safe then sorry. I do hope your aunt gets to enjoy horseriding again!!
As much as I love xc, jumping that high, ESPECIALLY when there's a drop right after the jump is ridiculously dangerous, people are honestly idiots for taking such a risk for a piece of ribbon
Yep, one of my biggest gripes with XC. That’s not to mention all the jumps with huge freaking ditches in the middle, let alone how none of the jumps are collapsible so risk of injury is even higher. _Especially_ rotational falls which are the deadliest kind (if you look up equestrian rotational falls 99% of the photos will show XC falls). This is the horse-riding equivalent of swimming through an alligator-infested river. And hey, I’d be fine with that if the person really wants to do it, but the fact that they’re happily endangering their horses’ lives (who have no choice in the matter) is a huge issue. I have my gripes with showjumping as well but at least the jumps fall apart upon impact and horses aren’t being jumped down steep hills and immediately made to jump again at the bottom.
That's Werribee Park and I've done marshalling on horseback there a while ago now, but it was the best experience I've ever had, and a great day, I wouldn't do cross country, but love watching it.
@@Horse-xm7efawwh common does she not knpw there is no bad weather only bad clothes 😢 it's so worth going in the rain anyway! I was out riding today in pouring rain i love it as long as the horse is fine it won't stop me 😊 you should tell her tp get a good raincoat or a see through bubble maybe heheh
@@mayac1438 I ride in the rain to but we live about 3 hours away from Werribee and we wanted to watch the xc but she said that she’s not driving 3 hours to stand in the rain and be cold😢
HI Amber i love your videos they are sooooo good i was wondering how you went at melbourn 3 day. i went last year and the year befor, and when i saw this video i was so sad i am hoping to see you at equetana later in the year
Honestly X-country has been getting out of hand in recent years and the event jumps are dangerous, if you search for x-country jumping you can see what i mean for yourselves
I’m a be so for real I will never watch cross crunchy do cross country anything that is that because it has killed so many horses so many horses and cross-country have died. A lot of things have happened to horses that aren’t so good. Some of them break a leg where they can’t wait they have to be put down. It’s bad. I don’t know why you can watch country And support it, but I will never do that
