Bro people get so crazy when restoring headlights, it’s plastic, just cut and buff it like paint, the surface gets hot and smooth again. And like magic it looks new
Most people don’t want to cut and buff their headlights once a month, so they add clearcoat hopefully with uv protection to significantly slow down that yellowing
The problem is the protection, in my opinion anything other than PPF is a waste of time and money. There’s a shop here in SoCal that restores your headlights and applies XPEL PPF with a 10 year warranty for $200. That’s really a no brainer at that price. There’s mobile guys charging $100+ and they’re only applying the Meguiar’s headlight coating that you buy at Walmart, not a permanent solution at all, that’s a consumer level product, waste of money to pay $100+ for that service.
